Regarding the dynamic range on the GFX 50R, this is an advantage on the medium format sensor; from the original image on the left, there is almost nothing but, when pulled up at 6-7 stops, the color from the roof, leaves are still very separate.
The GFX 50R is so far still Fujifilm’s best-priced medium format camera that professional users can own and experience on its GF lens system, an option for those who are in high demand for precision sharp, detailed photos, large format printing. The trade-off at the moment is that the machine only supports professional shooting that does not require high speed, nor is it intended for video recording for users who need a more versatile machine with a stable balance in all aspects. On its face, the Fujifilm X-T4 will still be a more versatile and more affordable choice.
