Sound

ME01 sound is quite similar to his brother family M&D ME03. But not so, ME01 is just a copy of ME03

Bass

After listening to the previous headphones Master & Dynamic MH40 and ME03 to now ME01, I realized that bass light is the sound of the company. This is probably a mark of the company because despite the headphones, Inear, at any cost, the bass still has a similar point. Bass ME01 is not much, obviously lacking with bassheads like bass volume. The company really made all the headphones not for anyone passionate about bass sound! Because the bass is so soft, the volume of the ME01 sound is slightly thin. The speed of the bass is extremely fast, just hit the bounce up, do not pull the tail. Because of the lightness of the ME01’s bass deep down to the bottom, it roll off when a certain segment. All the drum parts are fine detail, but feel slightly raised, slightly brighter. This is easy to understand because when deep bass is roll off so much rest is high bass.

But what I like is that the bass structure is quite good. The gentle bass headphones that control the bass are not good, but when listening to the drums with the ME01 it feels light, but not missing. For bass enthusiasts, the ME01 is not the ideal headset, sub bass roll off and slightly lightweight. So do not spoil the modern look of the ME01, this is a headset for soft music, not to listen to dance, DJ!

Mid

ME01 has a fairly smooth mid-tone and is slightly similar to ME03. The midrange is slightly focused on the mid rather than the low mid, so there is a light feel, a little bit dazzling. Sib is still going to happen if the songs are slightly bright, the singer’s voice is high. The vocalist is bright but not advanced but rather neutral, it is not too far back into the orchestra so it is quite easy to hear.

The vocalist has no warmth and color. If you are a fan of the audio mid of Audio Technica, then listen to ME01 you will feel the loss. Vocalist when playing too ME01 feeling slightly dry. It is not as dry as Grado or Inear Phonak but it is enough to feel the rustic of the singer. Because of the thinness, I like to use the ME01 to play the singer with a thick voice to cover, creating a balanced sound. Gentle Jazz songs like Cold Cold Heart are quite clean, the vocals are smooth but not raw. You can say ME01′ mid is not an impressive midrange because it is neutral and rustic, if not accustomed, will not like right away.

Treble

ME01′ Treble is quite high. But it’s not up to the glare, but to the one that will be rolled off for a more comfortable listening experience. Good separation of treb, the clang, the wind chimes are expressed separately from the bass and mid should have a wider sound field. ME01 sound is quite spacious, can also because the treb high, running in a space separated white should have such a sense.

Summary

ME01 is probably one of the most beautiful headphones of Master & Dynamic in particular and all the headphones I have on hand lately in general. Each line cut diamond, hard material to the design head says M & D has invested heavily in making this headset. ME01 also has an easy-to-hear sound with light, fast bass, mid light and neutral and treble tinkering. For me, this is a headset for those who like to listen to the instrumental, rock, metal and classic music.
