Sensitive skin: Needs products that provide moderate soothing due to benign ingredients that do not bring about an irritant-attributed characteristic to the products.

Dry skin: You should go for a primer with nutritive ingredients so that it can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and rejuvenate the skin, preventing a caked appearance underneath the foundation.

Normal skin: If you are lucky enough to have this skin type, consider yourself fortunate because pretty much almost all types of primers are suitable for this skin type. It doesn’t need that it be a jack-of-all-trades to become a genuine product that can guard your skin.

Oily: Primer choice that controls oil and sebum secretion and provides a little moisture to assist the makeup foundation in staying beautiful for many hours. If you have enlarged pores, you should go with a gel primer that has silicone ingredients to help blur pores.

Which type of primer shall I select?

Thus far, my all-time favorite remains the NYX Angel Veil Primer. At times I use others, but NYX Angel Veil is my most repurchased product.

This line of primers is extremely affordable but offers everything a high-end line cannot. The cream is so thin and light that it doesn’t feel sticky or heavy against the skin on application.

It controls oil for up to 6 hours, giving you extended wear throughout the function or the event and minimal touch-ups with powder in between. Also, it enhances complexion and significantly reduces blemishes.
