amazon Xiaomi Redmi 4A reviews
Design
If you’ve ever opened any Xiaomi smartphone box before, it’s probably not that strange to know what the Redmi 4A accessories box is all about. This phone comes with basic accessories like manuals, charger and USB cable.
In design there are not too many surprises. Xiaomi Redmi 4A continues the traditional Redmi design language with solid metal bezel frame, removable battery compartment and an eye-catching yellow option. However, Xiaomi Redmi 4A is a bit different from the Redmi 4’s design.
On the back of the phone, you will easily recognize the familiar logo laser engraved MI as other products, a speakerphone strip just below the logo and no fingerprint sensor. While on the right hand side, Xiaomi puts the joystick as the power button, raising and lowering the volume are made of metal, next to the left we have a hybrid SIM tray. The lower edge of the Redmi 4A has quite a few details with a MicroUSB charging port and a microphone. The phone’s side has a 3.5mm jack with infrared sensors for controlling electronic devices in the home. Redmi 4A has a white in the front so the bezels look thicker.
One thing to note here is Xiaomi Redmi 4A is super lightweight. It weighs only about 132 grams and is easy to carry around. It is compact and slim with measurements of 139.5 x 70.4 x 8.5 mm. This makes it thinner as well as more compact than his brother, Xiaomi Redmi 4.
Display screen
Xiaomi Redmi 4A comes with a pretty good display. The screen is crisp and the colors are brilliant. The brightness is not too high compared to some other phones like the Moto G4 Plus, but I found no problem using the display under direct sunlight. In fact, personally I find the display on the Redmi 4A very ideal for reading, playing games, surfing the web …
The specs are pretty good in the price range, the 5mm Redmi 4A display and the 1280 x 720p (294 ppi) resolution will not disappoint you.
Efficiency to use
With the cheap segment of Redmi 4A, I did not expect anything so impressive from this phone. Xiaomi equips Redmi 4A with a hardware that can handle most common tasks with minimal latency. You can use simple everyday tasks like browsing the web or watching some video with the Snapdragon 425 processor. The only drawback to this smartphone is the ability to play graphics games. The Snapdragon 425 chip only integrates the Adreno 308 GPU, not the Adreno 505.
However, the actual gaming experience on Redmi 4A is quite interesting. Not the best graphics but you will still be able to play games like Asphalt 8 and Real Drift Racer normally without any significant hiccups. Even opening apps and games is pretty fast. So to use your everyday basic applications, Snapdragon 425 and 2GB RAM will be enough.
Temperature is not a problem with Redmi 4A. Even after half an hour of gaming or browsing, the phone does not seem too hot, which is a good sign.
For battery life, I can get up to a day with a high capacity 3,000mAh battery inside. Calculate your time spent using Redmi 4A consists of one hour browsing the web, watching some long videos on youtube and surfing facebook in about an hour. Text messaging and the internet tend to make the Redmi 4A battery drop quite quickly, but if used properly, the phone will be able to use around a day of comfort.
Camera
The phone comes with a 13 MP f / 2.2 aperture rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The rear camera system is quite good quality, you will easily have a nice image if the lighting conditions match. The biggest drawback to Redmi 4A is its low-light, low-quality images. However, you can use HDR mode to overcome the lack of light in this situation.
In HDR mode, you get a much better picture quality, especially in homes where lighting conditions are not favorable. Meanwhile, the front camera is just enough to provide you with beautiful self shots to share on social networks or with friends. Actually, I noticed that with a smartphone only about $150 can not demand too high everything perfect.

Software, features
Xiaomi’s user interface is MIUI is too famous and is considered one of the best custom Android operating system today. You will have a smoother and unique experience on Redmi 4A as most other products come from Xiaomi. The phone comes pre-installed with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow interface MIUI 8. The software comes with all the basic features including Dual Space and Dual Apps.
Second Space is a mode that allows the owner to create a new phone space on the device itself. You can use this space to customize for a special need just like the selection of themes and separate applications for Second Space mode. You can set a password to protect the data as well as quickly transfer the application to this space. Go back to the first space (using the icons on the home page) and you get all the original data back. It’s a smart way to manage your work and family in a phone. You can also copy applications on different devices when they both use MIUI 8.
Conclude
Overall, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A is a good smartphone with a price tag of around $150. If you’re looking for a lightweight phone, and can handle most tasks without much hassle, the Redmi 4A is a great fit for this one.
