Design and wearing experience

KZ ZSN Pro X has the same design as its predecessor, ZSN Pro. The only difference is that the faceplate will have more color options including: black, yellow, and blue. The housing of the headset is still made of acrylic plastic and has an ergonomic shape to help bring a comfortable, comfortable, and smooth wearing feeling. Because the acrylic material is transparent, users will see the entire internal structure of the headset.

The faceplate is made from aluminum alloy and is tightly attached to the housing via a small screw. Just above the screw is a vent that helps equalize pressure inside the headset. Blurring the surface and adding zigzag patterns will help make the appearance of the KZ ZSN Pro X more beautiful.

The soundproofing ability of ZSN Pro X is quite average. Of course, the level of sound insulation will depend on-ear the fit. Therefore, please choose the appropriate size of the included ear tips.

The cable that comes with the headset has 4 wire cores twisted together to increase durability. The wire cores are made of silver-plated copper, so the signal transmission quality is extremely good. The cable uses a standard 0.75mm QDC 2-pin connector and an L-shaped 3.5mm jack. The cable will have an integrated recording microphone along with a multi-function button to stop/play music change songs and listen/reject incoming calls.

Driver configuration and sound quality

Located in the low-cost segment, KZ ZSN Pro X is equipped with a driver cluster with a hybrid configuration. The combination of a 10mm dynamic driver and BA 30095 driver helps the headphones to reproduce detailed audio signals in the frequency range of 7Hz – 40kHz with a maximum sensitivity of 112dB, operating impedance will be at 25Ohm. Thus, ZSN Pro X is not a difficult headset. You can completely plug the headphones directly into your mobile devices and enjoy your favorite music.

The bass range will be slightly reduced in volume, the mid-range will be better transitioned and the treble range will still maintain the same level of brightness and detail.

Compared to the ZSN Pro, the bass range of the ZSN Pro X is better controlled, the sub-bass has quite a good rumble, and the response speed and decay are relatively fast. By slightly reducing the bass range and increasing the level of transition in the mid-range, the vocals will be performed better. Adjusting the mid-range forward will help the singer’s voice become closer to the listener. Micro details in the music are better-retrieved thanks to the slightly added brightness of the upper mid. The treble still retains the same level of detail and sharpness but sounds smoother than the ZSN Pro version. The sib sound will appear in some songs like Do U from Do Or Die but it does not cause much negative impact on your listening experience.

The soundstage on the KZ ZSN Pro X has better width and height than depth. The sound image has good stereoscopic clarity, the singer’s voice is placed in the center and facing forward, and the ability to separate instruments is quite clear. To improve the sound quality of ZSN Pro

Compare

Vs Kebear KS2

Both have ergonomically shaped housings and are made from acrylic plastic. However, the faceplate of the KZ ZSN Pro X will be made of aluminum so it has better durability. The two headphones are equipped with a hybrid driver configuration (1 dynamic driver + 1 BA driver), but their sound quality is not the same.

The Kbear KS2 headphones have a warmer sound and the bass extension is handled better. Both have abundant bass, but KS2 has a better impact. The mid-range on the ZSN Pro X sounds clearer due to the brighter upper mid-section. The ZSN Pro X’s transitions are better and the instruments have more definition (especially with percussion). The treble on the KS2 is adjusted quite safely, so it does not have the same brightness and detail as the ZSN Pro X. This is both a disadvantage and an advantage of the KS2. Because, if your ears are sensitive to bright and detailed treble sounds, clearly the softness of KS2 is a more suitable choice.

Vs KZ ZST X

In terms of aesthetics, the ZST X has a housing and faceplate with a more eye-catching design. However, the KZ ZSN Pro X with a metal faceplate will have better durability and sturdiness.

Using the same driver configuration, the bass range on the ZSN Pro X gives a slightly faster response speed. The bass range is abundant, but the mid-range of the ZST ZSN Pro X has a smoother, fuller-sounding mid-range and better volume. Meanwhile, the treble range of the ZST X is adjusted for better clarity and to create a comfortable listening feeling.

Your budget is tight but you still want to buy yourself a good headset, so the KZ ZSN Pro X is a very good choice.
