PACKING AND ACCESSORIES

DESIGN AND FINISHING
Since the birth of KZ ZSN, many of KZ’s products have been remade in this style. The thick, transparent resin housing can show the entire internal configuration of the headset, making it extremely eye-catching and attractive even to non-Buddhists. Use resin material for a smooth and tough surface than the previous KZ plastic housing earphones.
The metal faceplate is shaped like a beautiful teardrop. However, it is not too different when placed next to the same price models of the current KZ.
In terms of finishing, KZ ZSX continues to score points for the KZ when this pair of headphones is made with high accuracy and very good finishing. The metal faceplate paired with plastic housing does not leave any small gaps. The feeling of holding in the hand is extremely solid and reassuring. The inner connector is even reinforced with 2 screws that you can see through the transparent housing.
In particular, the drainpipe on the KZ ZSX is made of metal rather than cheap plastic. Nobody looks in and thinks this is the perfect way of a $50 headset. Why, before these metal drain tubes like this only appear on mid-range headphones.
The connector on KZ ZSX is still 2-pin. But this is not the standard 2-pin standard but rather the 0.75 pin of KZ. You will not be able to use normal 2pin wires to plug into the KZ ZSX but must buy an upgraded cord manufactured by KZ.
The wires that come with KZ ZSX as I mentioned at the beginning. It is not so bad, but obviously, it is not worthy to pair with KZ ZSX. The sound passing through this string will be cloudy and greatly reduce the details for the middle and high ranges. You should buy a silver-plated copper upgraded cord when using this headset.
CONFIGURATION
What is proud of all products from KZ is the internal configuration. KZ ZSX was dubbed the “Terminator” of the world of cheap Hybrid headphones. Each KZ ZSX headset is equipped with a total of 6 different drivers. A special dynamic driver with a diameter of up to 10mm covers the bass range. This dynamic driver is special in that it has two layers of permanent magnets, which enhances magnetism to make the driver’s vibrato stronger and more flexible, reproducing deep bass and more clearly.
Next, 4 BA drivers work for the mid-range and high-range. 1 BA driver placed close to the exhaust pipe, responsible for ultra-high range.

EXPERIENCE AND SOUND
So far, the ZS line of KZ has always been quite large housing due to cramming dynamic and BA drivers together and the KZ ZSX is no exception. For those of average-sized ears, it is not a problem to wear a fit but for girls, it is advisable to consider and test before buying.
KZ’s eartips are quite thick and hard, to get the highest comfort, you should buy third-party eartips like Spinfit or Final Audio for the most comfortable wearing experience.
When worn on the ear, the KZ ZSX tends to protrude slightly out of the ear due to the rather thick housing and faceplate. However, this is an advantage when it comes to providing very good sound insulation for this headset.
KZ ZSX has an impedance of only 24ohm and sensitivity up to 111dB so it is not a picky source. Can be combined with a phone or a portable music player without the need for an additional AMP.
The overall sound of KZ ZSX is detailed, full, treble strip makes it quite nice and emphasizes on the bass range. Despite being a hybrid ear, the strip transitions are quite smooth, not broken, discrete phenomenon when listening.
Bass range: The bass of KZ ZSX is handled by a dynamic 10mm driver with dual magnets, so it’s not surprising that its bass volume is so abundant. The body is relatively stable with a round, mid-bass, bouncing and not spreading. The texture of the bass range is quite good, it would be better if the whole KZ ZSX bass range improves its speed.
Mid-range: warm, clear but slightly back. Very good detail thanks to the efficient support of the BA drivers. The low-mid portion of the dynamic driver is quite thick and warm, so the male vocal will benefit a lot from this color of KZ ZSX. The female vocalist sounds pretty good because the high mid-range is crunchy, lots of air. The instruments have good detail, fine separation, but the timbre is not really honest.
Treble range: The high range of KZ ZSX is up, but not too high. Fine details, neither too bright nor too gentle. Has brittleness and smoothness, good control so it does not involve harsh phenomenon or sibilant. If compared to the KZ ZS10 PRO, this treble strip is a bit brighter and sharper but still extremely easy to hear.
Soundstage: Stopped on average, perfectly acceptable for a cheap IEM. The reconstructed stage space has a pretty good depth thanks to the powerful bass range, down but the width and height are not good. This problem can be improved by upgrading the conductor and eartips of the headset.
SUMMARY
KZ ZSX is probably the version with more bass and a little more treble than KZ ZS10 PRO. This is a very easy-to-listen and impressive headset for new players thanks to the powerful bass range but still quite good quality and the remaining bands are fine.
Some minus points of this headset such as the cord and accessories are acceptable due to its low price. In short, KZ ZSX is still a headset with extremely good performance in the price range, suitable for young, vibrant music. If you are looking for headphones in this price range, the KZ ZSX is an option not to be missed.
