amazon Eufy RoboVac 11s reviews
The Eufy RoboVac 11s is an affordable, no-frills robot vacuum that’s small enough to clean even the lowest furniture.
You no longer have to spend a fortune to get a great robot vacuum cleaner. The Eufy RoboVac 11s is an update to one of our favorite budget models, the RoboVac 11. It delivers powerful, effective cleaning performance in a more compact form factor for the same $219.99 price tag. While you won’t find advanced features like apps or voice control, the RoboVac 11s is one of the quietest vacuums we’ve tested and is small enough to clean just about anything in the house. It’s a strong choice if you have low-light furniture or paper-thin walls.
Design and Features
The RoboVac 11s looks a lot like the RoboVac 11. Its rounded body is darker in color, which makes the Eufy logo at the bottomless noticeable. It’s also smaller, measuring 12.8 inches in diameter and 2.8 inches in height, compared to the original’s 13.0 inches in diameter and 3.0 inches in height. That makes the RoboVac 11s the shortest robot vacuum we’ve tested and perfect for getting under particularly low coffee tables, couches, and vehicle dashboards.
On the top of the vacuum cleaner, the oval power button acts as an indicator light. It flashes orange when it is charging, blue when the battery is full, and red if there is an error. The front edge of the vacuum cleaner is home to the bumper, which also houses its infrared sensors. On the opposite side is a surprisingly large 0.6L dustbin, below which there’s a handy troubleshooting chart. Below you’ll find two rotating brushes, a nose wheel, two main tracks, a rolling brush, charging contacts, and a drop sensor.
The included remote has an elongated shape and features a monochrome display on top. The left side of the screen tells you the current cleaning mode, while the right side is divided into a third. The top shows you the time, the middle shows the suction power, and the bottom shows when your cleaning schedule is set. Buttons below are labeled with icons, while a key on the opposite side provides a more detailed explanation of what they do. Unfortunately, you cannot customize the schedule for ages 11, like with many other robots. For example, you cannot clean it at one time Monday and Wednesday, and another time Tuesday and Friday; After you set the time, it will clean at the same time every day.
In the box, you also get a charging dock, a power adapter, two AAA batteries for the remote, a cleaning tool, two extra brushes, and two spare filters. There are no virtual barriers, and you can’t cut out areas you don’t want to clean with the remote, so you’ll need to do it the old way, by blocking the vacuum’s path with something it can’t go through.
Performance
The RoboVac 11s vacuums as well as the robot vacuum cleaner that costs twice as much. In testing, it easily picked up a bucket full of dirt, hair. It also has a BoostIQ suction mode that automatically increases cleaning intensity on carpeted floors. I found the feature to work reliably during testing and eliminated the need to change the suction mode during cleaning manually.
Some robot vacuums are based on systematic cleaning, following a clear line of relatively straight lines through one room before moving on to the next. Meanwhile, the 11s played ping pong around the room without rhyme or obvious reason but still managed to cover every nook and cranny. And as mentioned earlier, its relatively short stature allows it to navigate under obstacles other vacuums can’t manage, eliminating the need to clean underneath furniture that the vacuum can’t access.
Group 11 is also very good at maneuvering different types of decks. It easily manages the transition between carpet and vinyl and has no problems with raised edges. And while no vacuums are truly silent, the 11s are just as quiet as they come. It’s barely noticeable when you’re in the same room, and if you turn on the TV or play music, you probably won’t hear it.
Battery life is also very good. I got up to 100 minutes on a single charge in tests, which is enough to clean most apartments and single floors of a house.
Compare and conclude
If you don’t need a phone or voice control, the $220 Eufy RoboVac 11s is a very good choice for this price. Its compact design, strong suction, quiet operation, and solid battery life make it a good choice for those with much low-profile stuff. For everyone else, however, the Ecovacs Deebot N79S is a slightly better option. It offers app control for just $10 more, better scheduling options, and compatibility with Amazon Alexa.
