In the front glass, Corsair has improved a lot compared to the old generation. The glass has now been separated from the front support frame to increase the amount of wind in the case. In old designs, when the glass is arranged close to the fans, the amount of air circulating in will be limited. On this new version, the company’s design can be said to be very valuable when it comes to overcoming the disadvantages of glass-faced models, which is high temperature due to the inability to absorb cool air.

The front of the case consists of a tempered glass panel placed on a hard plastic frame and inside is a dust filter. Inside the case, in the position of the 3.5″ hard drive tray, there is a cardboard box made of paper with screws and drawstrings inside. The instruction manual is inserted in the power supply compartment. Accessories that come with the case are simple but complete.

The space to install components is just right, not too large. To explain this, we should remember that the Corsair 465x is just an ATX-sized case model and is oriented for mid to high-end configuration machines but compact size.

Two large wire holes on the right side of the mainboard and one on the power tray, convenient for threading large bundles of wires like 24 mainboard pins and 6+2 pins for graphics cards. The small hole in the upper corner is for the 12v CPU power supply cord and the rear fan wire.

7 PCI expansion slots and 2 vertical slots allow users to install large graphics cards or set up cards, showing the pitiful beauty of VGA. With a fairly large width, using a high-end air cooler is also not a bad idea when the maximum height of the heatsink supported is up to 170mm.

In today’s machines, the traditional 3.5″ hard drive is gradually being replaced by new generation SSDs with much higher speed, on the other hand, the current hard drive capacity is also very high. Users usually do not install too many drives. Therefore, most current case models only need to support from 2 to 3 drives to meet the needs of users. Corsair 465x is also such a case model. The back of the case includes two 3.5″ and 4 2.5″ drive trays to install SSDs or small hard drives.

The cooling system includes 3 built-in LL120 RGB fans and a customizable LED controller with iCUE software. It is a bit disappointing here that the company only equips 3 fans in the front and not in the back.

With an average size, the 465x’s ability to support water cooling is very good. The radiator can be installed on both front, top, and back sides. At the same time, the maximum heat dissipation size is 360mm when using a 120mm fan or 280mm when using a 140mm fan.

Power supplies up to 200mm in length will also be easily installed by removing the hard drive tray, freeing up space for unused connection cables.
