amazon Dunu Titan 5 reviews
Familiar design, enough accessories
Titan 5 is canned in familiar style: big, beautiful and thick. The Hi-Res certification symbol stands out on the right
Dunu’s specifications Titan 5:
Driver: Dynamic (13mm)
Frequency response: 10Hz-40KHz
Sensitivity: 108 ± 2dB
Impedance: 32Ω
Jack: 3.5 mm
1.2m strings, anti-tangle
Housing of Titan 5 is still made of familiar metallic aluminum. However, there was a small change in design, when the tube with the nozzle tube was remade: longer and also larger than the previous version. Also, the headset will go deep into the user’s ear, comfort and airiness will be reduced slightly, offset by the sound insulation, eliminate noise when going out on the street a lot better.
The only difference to distinguish Dunu Titan 5 from Dunu Titan 3 is the huge number “5” on the outside of the housing. Obviously, Dunu has opted out of putting the logo so that users can distinguish the two products more easily.
Although made from metal, but the weight of Titan 5 is only 24 (g), so users always have the feeling of wearing lightly whether used for a long time.
Like Titan 3, Titan 5 is also capable of replacing strings. Replacing these straps with the easy-to-repair features of the problem, you can wear either straight down or over-the-ear style suits.
V-Shaped Sound
Just a moment ago, Dunu’s ear-bud and in-ear design did not receive much support because of the frequent, most noticeable acoustic phenomena in the bass and treble strings. However, after a long period of research and development based on feedback from users, this design was Dunu really complete with this new Titan product line.
The specifications of the Titan 5, with low impedance (32 ohm) and high sensitivity (108dB), can be easily combined with a smartphone, a laptop, a PC or a pair of music players, a DAC/AMP….. In general, the Dunu Titan 5 possesses true V-shape sound with both bass and treble enhancements, but is still rich in music and especially in the clear soundstage.
If the bass strings on Titan 3 are considered fairly neutral, the volume is moderately, comfortable and strikingly high-speed, the strings on Titan 5 become much more prominent – V-Shape headphones from Dance, EDM to Pop, Jazz or Vocal.
Still a strikingly neat bass strings, not tails, but violent, more rounded – clearly visible when sub bass hits as well as mid-bass is clicked in quite a lot of volume. In addition, with the longer and larger nozzle, the bass does not leak out of the ear, so I feel the amount of bass on Titan 5 more than the predecessor Titan 1.

The midrange of the Titan 5 will not be as prominent as the other two strips, but the surprise here is that it has been pushed up quite high compared to most other in-ear V-shapes. To do this, Dunu pressed a lot on the high-mid so the midrange was no longer rustic, natural, with less detail and instead was slightly electronicall, with a slight pull of the tail.
Also, the sibalance phenomenon with the “shhh” and “sss” sounds more often when listening to Yao si ting, in “Sound of silence” or “No matter what”. According to personal evaluation, the mid of Titan 5 will match with Pop, Dance or EDM or where the instrument is: flute, panflute or Saxophone. As for the vocals, the Titan 3 is a much better choice when it comes to Titan 5 at the moment.
Finally, let’s go to the treble band – the weapon that turns the Titan 5 into Dunu’s trump card in 2016. Treble is high, plentiful, high volume, almost untouched but still very sharp. If you have ever heard of Dunu Titan 1, you will receive two in-ear between these two generations with a surprisingly high stripe.
Treble is very extended, but still controlled well, expressed through the cymbal is not uncomfortable sticky feel metal, much more separable. The detail, the disassembly of the Titan 5’s instruments and singers is also remarkable to bring a lot of interesting experiences to the ears of the listener.
When the treble band is cared most, the 3D music space that Titan 5 renders is extremely spacious and airy. Not as creepy as the Titan 3, but rather a more seamless midrange and better sonic control. My personally, the soundstage is the nicest thing on the V-Shape in-ear.
It took a long time for Dunu to develop and reshape its product segment.
About Titan 5, this in-ear is a quality product of good design and powerful sound, outstanding and a great variety of music from Dance, EDM, Pop, Jazz to Rock, Classical.
