That is a version of FH3 with strong sound quality and unmistakable outstanding personality in the $140-$240 in the headphone audio market with the same price as Fiio F9 Pro.

FiiO has suddenly launched an in-ear headset product called FiiO FH3 Headset to bring users more quality audio products.

Here, I will open the box with you quickly and evaluate the sound quality and the strengths and weaknesses of this Fiio FH3.

Unboxing

Fiio FH3 placed in a black box is prominent on the front with the image of a black, blue headset and the name of the FH3 headset in the left corner of the box, basically without changing the build of this box design.

Open the box and see 2 Fiio FH3 removable earphones neatly placed in a black cover box.

Below are the included accessories: 1 shockproof hard case for HB1, one cloth bag for headphones, three pairs of balanced silicone tips, three pairs of bass silicone tips, three pairs of treble silicone tips, and two pairs of sponges.

Headphone design

The FiiO FH3 headphones are defaulted to the over-the-ear hook design to provide certainty, stylization, and, at the same time, hug the similar custom headset.

The FiiO FH3 headphones use FiiO’s patented FiiO S-Turbo technology with a longer turbine section for greater audio focus.

Previously, I reviewed the standard Sennheiser IE 40 pro, which is almost the same as the MMCX, but the length of the connecting needle is longer than the common standard. So in terms of upgrading and replacing, the FH3 is much better than IE 40 Pro, not only that, this time Fiio FH3 has a super cable, you will be very surprised.

Detachable signal wire

The FiiO FH3 headset has an extremely high-quality conductor; just by looking at the outside, swiping, and touching the wire, you will see a durable, thick, hard plastic outer shell. The inside of the wire core is completely exposed to the outside, is made of high-purity crystalline silver-plated copper, so the fidelity and detail are high.

The shank of the 3.5mm jack is gold-plated and uses a lock-and-molded connector when assembled; it looks very bear; it is difficult to snatch or break this L.

The genuine MMCX standard speaker connector is also shiny gold plated; you will find it different from the Fiio F9 pro, FD1, FH1s, or even the Sennheiser IE 40 Pro.

The sound quality of Fiio FH3

Finally, the sound quality of FH3 will be evaluated quickly so that you do not have to wait too long.

The 24ohm impedance FH3 headphones can be easily pulled on phone sources or via DAC/amp like Ibasso DC02, Fiio Q1 gen 2, Hip Dac Ifi depending on the devices you have.

I’m used to using it on the IP6s, so I’m used to it and don’t need a support device. You must choose a good music source and listen carefully to the music that compares the bands and music space.

The closed housing structure is almost like FH5 with high-grade silver-plated copper wire, so I choose strong bass heads and listen to rock like Alan Walker’s Alone. With delicate mid songs, I choose famous singers who go deep into the subconscious of many people like Adele’s Hello. With the treble range, the basic test on the saxophone is the best, so I used Kenny G’s Forever in love and the song Hotel California for the overall test.

The bass range of the song Alone, Mossy made me almost surprised. The ear sensitivity is quite large, up to 114db, so I recommend turning on about 60-70% of the volume is enough. Usually, with other ears like FD1 or FH1s, I listen at 80%. Strong, clear bass in the mid-bass and sub-bass range. However, the sub-bass range is impressive when it is not a deep, soft bass like that of the F9 pro or the gentleness of the FH1s, but strong and tight, with intense force, sound and focus. Especially the bass heads will feel very high and sway like crazy listening to music in the bar, this ear listening to Vinahouse or EDM is very good.

Unlike the previous Fiio ear lines, which were often emphasized in the Mid-range, the FH3 has a slightly dimmer mid-range than the bass and treble bands. However, it would help if you did not underestimate it in this sound range; the mid-range in keeping the beats is not flexible and not too hard to listen to rap, good with fast and decisive male and female vocalists. The gentle slow-tempo songs will not compare with Adele’s classic Hello when the singer’s inner strength is stretched and overflowed from the bass range. Combined with the mid-range with decisive agility, the emotion will come more. Compared to F9 pro, it is almost like comparing a girl wearing a skirt and a girl with a personality FH3. Listening to BTS or other songs of the Kpop genre is also very good when the speed of the music and the rhythm is fast and attractive. You can see the impressive move of Fiio when it hits the target of young people’s tastes when it has the enhancement of the bass range and still retains the sharp mid-range.

When listening to the saxophone, the treble strip still shows the prominence in internal strength, especially the high notes. It sounds very far and smooth, not dazzling, this sound range the most, but I advise you not to listen to it for a long time because it will be addictive. Especially when listening to a violin concert or solo, you will see the violin’s tenderness and good instrument separation, having a very captivating feeling in the music quite similar to FH5.

The Hotel California version helps you realize a fairly large and open space, I only compare in the price range, so the Sennheiser IE 40 Pro or Fiio F9 pro will lose out when there is more space.

The detail of the FH3 is also quite good, but it will be a bit blurry because the bass vs. treble bands are more impressive.
