amazon Gintama Rumble reviews
After two AW reviews: Phoenix Festa and Kamen Rider Climax Fighters, this is the third time I have to repeat the phrase “as a new player,” as Gintama is not a work that I wrote. But unlike the other two games, Gintama Rumble has a much better first impression, when right from the first moments, it makes the writer feel eye-catching with the introductory and instructive battle breathtaking and majestic.
After the first moments, players will officially enter the main game of the Gintama Rumble. There are a variety of game modes from storyline to free-to-play and “shopping” and watching movies. With the storyline section, players will experience a series of events taking place in the Gintama series and unlock additional chapters to learn more about the main and minor characters we meet in the Gintama Rumble.
Unfortunately, Gintama Rumble’s cutscenes are still images from the movie (probably due to copyright restrictions). Fortunately, thanks to the powerful voice acting, the character’s charisma remains the same, shows good expressions, can even say that without the picture understands the mood of the characters. Overall, due to the support from the plot is so good, Gintama Rumble is still attractive enough for those who do not know anything about the series to feel interested and watched, of course, if you are a person with enough patience.
After the cutscenes, players will be able to “taste” the usual style of the “Musou” line (or the more familiar name “Three Kingdoms”). Before each battle, players will be fine-tuned to look, apply “gems” containing supporting elements such as calling a certain character to fight or a character running “around” to help me collect more items. In addition, players can also use experience points to raise one of the three columns of the Spirit – Skill – Strength index for the characters (depending on the chapter).
When starting a battle, the player’s goal is extremely simple:
- Just go to a large group of soldiers.
- Fight until the “hero” appears.
- “Knock” the hero.
- Go to another area and repeat, but on a smaller and compact scale.
Knowing that players have to “repeat” like this forever, the developer also tries to show off the real, splendid attacks to create an emotional feeling with extremely stunning graphic effects. Like games with similar gameplay, Gintama Rumble also owns a few different goals for the player to complete to bring a higher score at the end of each level.
Gintama Rumble’s combat system is also slightly different. When the player activates the “Awaken Mode,” instead of launching the ability, the character will have a small amount of time to suck the blood of soldiers and bosses. The player’s attacks will now be powerful, beautiful, fierce, and take less damage if hit. And when defeating several soldiers or performing a certain sequence, players need to pay attention to pressing the R2 lever to activate the extremely eye-catching ultimate! And if the Awaken Mode is still lucky, then quickly continue hitting to start the top skill a second time; sometimes, these situations will help complete the game faster than planned.
And when the idea of Gintama Rumble going on like this all the time, surprisingly, players will get to see truly challenging duel matches with bosses is the game’s biggest bright spot. The bosses started quite weakly, mainly for guiding the game, but as later, if the player kept applying fierce attacks without any calculation, it would lose 5-6 times when facing a The boss is normal. The bosses often attack very hard, can block most of the player’s attacks, so you should practice how to move slowly and dodge at the right time to handle the situation in the match. Besides, bosses can “go” towards the player very quickly, so be careful when running around to heal, and use gems with great damage to support when meeting the boss.
Especially in the “suddenly” slowdown, if the player does not quickly press the O button as Gintama Rumble’s instructions in the first chapters, congratulations, the player will have to start over. If pressed simultaneously, the player will suck the boss’s blood quite a lot and enjoy a very intense shortcut scene. And to add “spice,” players will encounter more diverse situations, such as combining with another character to attack the boss, keeping the boss for a while …
The moves in the beautiful Gintama Rumble are beautiful. Still, there is no variety in the number of sequences, and we will have to repeat the extremely familiar moves, including the range of 5-6 activities until the end match. Sometimes, players can change to other characters. Still, with the total length of the storyline, plus boring screen design, no interesting changes, it needs to be developed by the developer. Be more creative to give Gintama Rumble a real transformation.
The arrangement of various boss battles is also just for Gintama Rumble to look “new” than in the beginning. But, it is not enough to be exciting in the long run because ultimately, the game also returns to the style of gameplay design structure and gameplay following the path of “Musou” games only. At the most, adding a few small factors like defeating the ABC soldiers in a short time, completing the player will be enhanced with the Awaken bar or a certain reward that few people care about due to being busy with dozens of effects above.
Not to mention, the intelligence of his teammates is also limited and unbalanced. Sometimes it is extremely “harmful” when preventing players from hitting bosses; sometimes it becomes useful and then … just like normal! As for the patrons, we understand them as puppets themselves – which is also common in games that tend to play like the “Musou” series. Sometimes, Gintama Rumble still has some technical errors such as not reporting the mission, causing the writer to die forever, and forced to exit the game.
After spending dozens of hours with the storyline, the free-play section of Gintama Rumble is not that great. The difference is that the player can use any character like to fight for bonus points and buy some shirts or videos. So this doesn’t help increase the game’s replay value, as the player has to go through hours of repetitive gameplay mentioned above.
