When it first launched, Sony announced the memory capacity of the PS5 was 825GB, which sounds terrible, almost 1TB. But when installing the operating system, there is only 667.2GB left. Furthermore, the game on PS5 is incredibly heavy. Popular and highly rated games like Borderlands 3, Demon’s Souls, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, or FIFA 21… all at 50GB or more. Just the 4 games mentioned above consumed a total of 209.82GB. So it’s enough to understand that PS5’s memory cannot satisfy the hunger of gamers.
Users cannot manually upgrade the PS5’s internal memory, so the only way is to use an external portable memory drive. Note that games running on the PS4 platform will still work as normal when an external hard drive is plugged in. But with the air purifier, it’s the opposite, we have to transfer games into the machine to be able to run games on the PS5 platform. This is due to the required speed limit of PS5-exclusive titles.
The tutorial will be divided into two parts. To be able to follow the instructions, you must have a PS5 and a portable hard drive with high memory capacity, about 500GB or more to be sure. PS5 has a type C port and USB 3.0 for data transfer, you can choose the appropriate adapter or wire type.
