Optimus Pad can export 3D imagery via HDMI, and if you do not have a 3D TV, you can use anaglyph glasses to see 3D on the Optimus Pad.
LG Optimus Pad has an 8.9-inch screen with 1280 x 768 pixels, 167ppi pixel density is higher than the iPad, Motorola Xoom, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. The screen is also more than enough so that users can read the text comfortably.
TFT (not IPS) and its viewing angles are a bit limited. The contrast of the screen will deteriorate, but you look from the corner of the screen, the overall quality is still good.

Design and style
LG Optimus Pad design is quite similar compared to the Optimus line of smartphones. It may not be luxurious looks like the Motorola Xoom, but also not bad. LG’s tablet looks slightly better than a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.
The device’s front is only a few details around the screen as a 2MP front camera, light sensor, and a small LED to indicate status. Android’s basic buttons have been moved into the touchscreen like many other Honeycomb tablets running.
Let’s talk about the edges of the LG Optimus Pad; let’s assume the top edge is home to the logo of LG. You’ll find the charger jack, 3.5mm audio jack, and speaker at the leading edge of the device. Also, here there is the power button / Lock small and almost convex dished out. This button brings ease of use; when you hold the tablet horizontally, the Power / Lock will be located on the left side and still quite easy to press.
The left side of the device (or bottom when you hold the camera horizontally under) is a micro USB port (you can not charge LG Optimus Pad for this port even if you have a micro USB charger) and mini HDMI port.
The right side has a volume rocker and a microphone. It will be at the top if you’re holding the tablet horizontal.
The bottom of Optimus Pad is two speakers, a total product with all three speakers. If you own the Optimus Pad vertically (in the direction of the LG logo), the two speakers will run simultaneously. But if you keep it horizontally, Pad will only have one of two speakers at the bottom and works in conjunction with the third speaker in the upper to give better sound.
Optimus Pad was back quite attractive. We can see the dual 5 MP camera is equipped with an LED.
However, both the camera slightly protruding a little, so you need to be careful when placing the machine on the table not to scratch the lens. Furthermore, the two cameras are very easy to stick fingerprints.
You can slide the top cover to see the SIM slot. There is no micro SD card slot on the Optimus Pad; you will only have 32GB of internal memory. The battery of the device the user is not easy to open.
6400mAh battery for operating time up to 9 hours and 20 minutes or 273 hours in standby mode.
LG Optimus Pad has a good design with an 8.9-inch screen and translucent rubber surface in the back to bring comfort to the touch and also difficult to leave fingerprints. Optimus Pad is the weight, tablet LG 150g heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.
Android Honeycomb OS
LG Optimus Pad uses an unmodified version of Android Honeycomb 3.0.1, quite similar to some other device. The tablet runs Android quite powerful to handle multiple tasks.
Android 3 Honeycomb provides a user interface that can resize to fit the multiple resolution and screen size. The basic hardware buttons of Honeycomb have been substituted with a touch button on the screen. Click an icon will open a message window pop-up. In Honeycomb, the notification window does not appear as a full screen.
The notification feature will have a shortcut for easy customize settings. Alternative to switching between connections on some Android smartphones (such as the Samsung TouchWiz) rather than set menu via the main screen.
Screen home screen has also been modified to be able to work better with the big screen. In custom mode, you will get five screens home screen with four tabs at the bottom are: widgets, apps, wallpapers, and “more.”
App launcher also has some changes; it is divided into two tabs is All and Downloaded. The first tab contains all of the applications available in the Downloaded will contain the apps you install. Press and hold any app will make five home screen appears; you can put it anywhere you want.
Overall, we are quite satisfied with the look of “Beehive” on Optimus Pad. This interface shows a particular investment. Overall, Optimus Pad has done well in handling, although the use of animated wallpaper can cause stutters when turning pages.
Camera 5 megapixel
With a pair of 3D camera filming and a 2-megapixel camera in the front, the LG Optimus Pad has the best imaging capabilities of the tablet. However, the picture taken with a tablet is not the most comfortable thing, and we’re concerned about the quality of Full HD video and 3D 720p.
Optimus Pad camera interface is quite simple. You will have the settings like flash, white balance, color effects, and scenes of convenience and resolution setting, image quality, focus mode, and exposure settings menu additional bookings.
Video
LG Optimus Pad is capable of recording video with resolution up to 1080p. There are not too many settings available to users; you can customize settings such as LEDs, white balance, color effects, video quality.
The recorded video is of quite good quality. We found a small decrease in the frame and low-contrast images like photos, but the videos still colors and details very well.
Record and watch the 3D video
The problem here is that LG has not provided the software for 3D recording. However, the mere fact that owning a 3D video camera with the ability to shoot and play 3D video at 720p resolution is also great for users to enjoy.
When 3D video recording, you can set the 3D depth, select video quality, white balance settings, and enable or disable sound recording mode. You can view 3D videos by integrated applications on Optimus Pad. It’s pretty simple, and of course, you need the glasses to see 3D.
Connect
LG Optimus Pad is equipped with a very good connection. You get the standard micro USB complete with a functional USB host. Unfortunately, you’ll only be using it after the update to Android 3.1.
LG does not allow charging with a USB port, so you will need to keep a very careful proprietary charger.
You will have Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS radio with the 3G network for speeds up to 10.2 Mbps for HSDPA and 2 Mbps for HSUPA 2.
But there is no microSD card slot for 32GB of storage but also quite sufficient for the user, and also Mass Storage feature is activated very worthwhile for users.
The last connection we mention is Bluetooth, and TV output micro HDMI allows high-definition video without an adapter. Fortunately, LG also provides users with an HDMI cable in the box.
The web browser is also an important application that the tablets should be considered. With full Flash support, Optimus Pad has an advantage over the iPad. The tab will be situated at the top of the browser like the browser on the desktop. The address bar and search bar are combined into a single area; this is a plus point for the Optimus Pad.
Epilogue
Currently, it is very easy to produce a tablet, but it is hard to pass up on other products. Many criteria such as Honeycomb, Tegra dual-core processor, and screen resolution that manufacturers need to research to make their tablet to the fore.
LG Optimus Pad is also a special tablet. Dual 5MP resolution camera capable of recording video at 1080p resolution and connectivity software packages on an average, with a standard mini HDMI USB On-The-Go. Besides, it also supports 3D technology to make a difference and bring interest to the user.
