amazon Mee audio X5 reviews
Design
Still using two ear straps, a pair of ear cords like the previous pair without a necklace like the N1, X5 still has a completely new design. The first commendable point is that the housing is now made of metal, no scratches like old ears. This part is also extremely compact because the driver only contains the feeling of wearing extremely comfortable.
Here we can see a set of “wings” knob to attach to the ear, creating more certain when wearing. As mentioned above, the box also offers another set of wings with larger size for those who have large ears.
On the cord there are two battery packs, the right part contains 3 music controls and the volume together with the talking mic. There is also a micro USB charging port.
The X5 is also waterproof, which does not say which one, but perhaps IPX4 is the same as the N1, meaning it can withstand sweat resistance if users exercise.

Experience
The shelf life of the X5 falls into the 7-hour range for a full charge, less than the nearly eight hours of N1. Generally 7 hours is the standard for a pair of baby earphones like this, so this is not the advantage that can not be said as a disadvantage. On average, about 1 week users will have to charge the ear, and charging time is only 2 hours so I think this is not a big problem.
One such point is the fit of the headphones, the X5 is a super-small housing, plus the ear canal is very well done so it feels extremely comfortable. Mee has not made a pair of earphones so bad on this part, but perhaps X1 is the most comfortable pair of earphones of the company. I highly appreciate this part of the X5, this is a pair of earphones suitable for any shape, use purpose from the office people sitting computer desk to Gym people active much!
Another highlight of the X5 compared to other sports headphones, especially the more advanced Mee models, is the extremely sharp of the X5, which is said to be improved. The biggest mee has favored for the cheapest sports headset in his collection.
Mee X5 keep the traditional sound of Mee. The lightweight headphones are located in the bass. I can not say that this is a bass headset, but it’s a bit more bass than the neutral ear, and it’s a little bit bassier than Mee headphones. The sub bass is very deep and diffused. The first verse of Hotel California played very grandly thanks to the sub bass of this full force. Mid bass is also more “comfortable” than the N1, less control. The drum sounds in Get lucky hit down strong. Fairly speaking, the X5 is still a pair of earbuds that can hear vocal music, gentle jazz but with a sub bass to mid bass, the headset shines more in Pop and Dance.

The mid-range of the X5 is also very well, which is similar to the other pair of Mee headphones and the N1 also launched a batch of this. Mid is moving towards the user, creating the intimacy of the Vocal, Pop, Jazz. Try the Closer by The Chainsmokers, the male and female vocalists in the song are warm, slightly dark but still very clear. The midrange of the X5, N1, or almost all of Mee’s headphones are all oriented towards the low mid and mid midrange rather than the high mid. The mid and mid midrange of the X5 are very well done, with a lot of airy sound therefore sound very natural and easy to hear. The high mid course is rolled off not up to the highest notes to avoid sibalance phenomenon. This affects not so much the majority of the current market vocalists, only a few high Soprano Diva like Celine Dion just lost a little high. But the high mid section of the X5 and the other Mee ear is also acceptable to the user.
Again, the treble is not the bright spot, nor the meaning of Mee headphones. The X5 has a relatively light treble sound, lacking the peak points required to create the metal for the band. Amber Rubarth’s Light lacks the usual clarity of the X5’s treble. But also to say that the advantage of this treble is not to create dazzling, hissing, sibalance leading to the audible sound of the headset. The X5 seems to have a slightly deeper bass than any other pair of earphones, so the treble is a bit lightweight.
The audio delay of the X1 is no different from that of N1 or any of Mee’s previous wireless headphones, which is low enough to replace a wired ear for watching movies and watching videos. Like the N1, the X5 is very comfortable to wear, so watching long films will not hurt your ears.
