In England, there are three places you can’t wear Jeans that you can access. It’s the Church – the Cathedral of Religion, the School – the Cathedral of Science, the rest of the Theater – the Cathedral of Art. These are three sanctuary places, bringing with them the values of history and civilization. Those are eternal lasting values with time, which have been challenged through ups and downs, past events, deposited and engraved for the next generation.
Inspired by the design of great architecture, lifting the clock to the art, MIDO – the Swiss watchmaker just a hundred years old has created a product line called Baroncelli, simulating the essence of body design and timeless values Rennes Opera House, France. In this article, I would like to introduce the most representative representation of the Mido Baroncelli II M8600.9.26.1 – The Art Cathedral.
Rennes – one of the most ancient cities in France, located in the historical territory of the Principality of Bretagne, Rennes marks many ancient architectural works with the characteristic beauty of Europe or famous universities. Here, in 1832, Pierre Louise stopped constructing a city Opera House in front of the City Hall in the neoclassical architecture error created by Charles Millardet. That is classic European architecture, also the style that created the White House in Washington, USA. By 1836, this project was completed with 642 seats and an Italian-style furniture system. The Theater contributed significantly to the French culture before a fire partially destroyed it in 1856. With efforts to restore from 1997 to 1998, the Theater was restored; today, it is still The venue of extremely attractive contemporary art concerts or performances.

Baroncelli is the embodiment of the beauty of this project; the designers of MIDO bring in this classic design, simple and extremely luxurious as the art hall of Rennes city. Slim, light, elegant is what I feel right on this model, a real Dresswatch, classy jewelry in the gala or business meetings. MIDO honors the beauty of time, writing, culture, and art. The classic Dauphine needle kit controls the Dial with colors in sync with the Roman numeral poles placed around. But the details that caught my attention must be the second hand with a slender but not too slender shape, which is reminiscent of the conductor’s stick, each being raised is the soul of the keys, the singing of harmony Come together in the old theater space. The second hand revolves around Dial’s face, and the school musicians and the orchestra are the numbers that play together melodic melodies. It feels like the whole city of Rennes is on the wrist.
Follows the treble sound of the semi-symphony of Rennes city, not to mention the overall design of this MIDO. Representing the eternal beauty and gentle and profound, Baroncelli always has a very thin and very light frame. The face size is not too big. Specifically, this one is only 38mm. Although people with small wrists, only about 15cm, can completely confident this model. It is no coincidence that Baroncelli became the most successful product line of MIDO.
Although it has a slim design, plus the calendar function is set in the middle of corners 4 and 5h, but Baroncelli still owns an automatic mechanical machine – its strength and pride. Looking through the glass behind, we can see a high-level and sophisticated movement automatic that feels more than the Tissot brothers’ machines at the same price range. That proves that MIDO creates sleek exterior designs, and the inner machine is always meticulously polished. According to watchmakers over the years, MIDO’s apparatus is highly stable and accurate.
Another special feature of Baroncelli MIDO is the variety of colors and digital version of the pile. In addition to this model using gold demi colors for both body and wire. The number of piles is also richly modified with Roman numerals, simple piles, or noble staples. You can discover more designs here Mido Baroncelli M8600.
All in all, only two “classic” words can be used to talk about Baroncelli, both in terms of design, brand, perfect machine in the price range. For those who first come to the Swiss mechanical watch, Baroncelli is a different choice but worth considering.
