Pros and Cons of samsung account

Rate this post

Pros:
You will automatically register your warranty with Samsung, and you can access your Samsung account, check on your warranty status, and get product support from the Samsung Members app.

You will also be able to use Samsung’s ecosystem of devices such as the Samsung Smartwatches, Samsung’s Smart Home devices and control them remotely from the phone, and use the Samsung Health app, which saves your health data over the cloud. You will not be able to use a Samsung Smartwatch without a Samsung account.

You can log into your Samsung account on Samsung’s website and track your phone if it goes missing using GPS and factory reset your phone remotely all from the web browser. If you use the Samsung Note notepad app (or regular notepad app if you have a standard Samsung Galaxy), you can sync your notes and have them backed up over the cloud so you will not ever lose them.

You can sync and backup your data like contacts, SMS & calendar with a Samsung account to restore when you format or buy a new Samsung phone.

Some apps which are paid on Google play are available for free on Galaxy App Store.
You can locate, ring, and wipe data on your lost phone. (if a stolen phone is not formatted and removed Samsung account from it)

Cons:
Your phone is always syncing your data with a Samsung account hence an increase in data usage.

Some Samsung apps are running in the background, like Group Play, Samsung Voice. They use RAM, hence slowing your device if you have less than 2GB RAM.

You will agree to Samsung’s terms of service, which also allows data collection. You will also register the warranty immediately, so Samsung knows when you started to use your device. You will have a one-year standard warranty on the device.
