Not flashy, not winning the ‘spotlight’ like more high-end product lines, but Jib headphones from Skullcandy have always won the hearts of Dance music lovers, like headphones from American audio companies and just the most basic features not to have to spend too much money. From the wire Jib Mic, the Jib+ with the necklace design, and now the latest version Jib True Wireless all adhere to this design philosophy!

Although the design of both the headset and the charging case is compact enough, the Jib TWS’s time is still quite good. When used independently, the headset can play music for 6 hours in a row, plus 16 more hours from the box to bring the total time to 22 hours.

What impresses me the most in the exterior design of Jib TWS is the color scheme of this 92 Blue version. In just one pair of headphones, the company has mixed all three basic colors, blue, red, and yellow, all in bold tones, so they look outstanding but have harmony, not overdone or dazzling. This color is really beautiful! If you like simplicity, no color, then Jib TWS still has two versions in gray and black, but if you have enough personality and confidence, try this unique 92 Blue color.

As mentioned, Jib TWS has been reduced to have the cheapest possible price to users in terms of accompanying features. We won’t have a Tile search chip, no wireless charging, no-touch panel (which is a traditional control button), and of course, no active noise cancellation. The only thing left but equally practical is the IPX4 waterproof standard, which makes Jib TWS weatherproof and more durable over time.

In contrast to the unimpressive features, Skullcandy Jib TWS has a sound quality that impresses users right from the first listen; V-shape sound quality makes every song pop up in front of the listener! Try it now with The Fat Rat’s Close to the sun; the bass is extremely rich, explosively expressed, and sounds very “good.” The sub-bass is sometimes a bit redundant, causing it to ‘flow’ into the background, making it a bit loud, but it will make the songs stronger for bass heads. Up to higher-end pairs of headphones, this bass part will be made clearer, showing textures that Jib TWS can’t do, but we still have to remember that this is Skullcandy’s cheapest pair of headphones!

Unlike his old generation headphones with sharp, electronic mids, Skullcandy has recently learned to make the mids more natural. Jib TWS also inherits this change, making songs with lyrics like Violet’s Crush easier to listen to and more comfortable. On the contrary, this middle part will not be the most focused component because of the V-shape sound quality, so it should be placed back. It will suit Pop songs with lyrics, instead of Vocal and Jazz, when the singer’s voice must be more prominent than the background music.

As usual, no V-shape sound would be complete without the lightened treble. The good thing about JIb TWS is that the entire treble part is raised to the same interval, but not a single segment of the frequency band is raised ‘differently’ to create a peak, creating a feeling of hard hearing. The overall sound quality of Jib TWS is quite dark, so having a little more treble like this also makes it a bit brighter, avoiding everything ‘mixed’ together.

Skullcandy Jib TWS is an interesting pair of headphones, bringing the ‘introductory’ price range of TWS headphones from the American audio company from more than $90 of the Sesh Evo pair to just over $45.
