amazon Tiki Gods: Ancient Time reviews
Tiki Gods: Ancient Times is a 3D puzzle game from the developer Kalani Games. Gameplay allows you to harness the power of the Tiki Gods – Ku, Kane and Lono. Through these three gods, you have the power to create new planets and life in them.
There are 3 gods for you to choose, Ku – God of War, Kane – god of life, thunder and wind, and Lono – god of nature and growth. The first impression before the press play is the design of the three gods are very beautiful and colorful (perhaps by default). Comes with Retina display on the Apple iPhone 4 and The New iPad, the gods are portrayed very true identity personality.
Each stage is made very brilliant and sharp combined with specially designed sound effects that make the game impressive at first sight. This is a game that shows the agility and strategy of the player. You have a limited time to complete the game by arranging blocks to explode.
The game revolves around controlling your gods around the maze, arranging square blocks that symbolize the elements: fire, water and earth. The square blocks must be moved to the appropriate position corresponding to the element present on them to create blasts from the solar energy. Accompanying each explosion is a number of gems falling to help increase power, skill or simply … create a beautiful necklace chain.
The virtual keyboard in the game is quite disappointing, lacking accuracy and sometimes does not respond to the player’s gestures. This makes the control in the game arrhythmia, sometimes you want to blast the blocks inadvertently causing the gods to move and vice versa. In testing, sometimes I run out of time before finishing the game due to lack of mobility and flexibility.
Another notable exception is the confusing symbol buttons, and they do not even have a line describing the function. Rather than go back to the main screen, then accidentally enter the game’s tune, after a while I’m familiar with the position of these buttons. Instead of some unacceptable disadvantages, Tiki Gods is one of the puzzle games with beautiful graphics and good sound on iOS. Some parts of the game may not follow the rhythm, but overall it is a good food for gamers who are lacking in their menu.

Polynesian mythology is the very essence of the story in “Tiki Gods: Ancient Time.” This type of myth really differs from those more commonly represented in video games. After people anger the Tiki Gods by their actions, players will have to go on a journey trying to restore balance in the world. The protagonist, chosen by the gods, must traverse numerous islands, each representing different elements and aspects of the world.

Also, the supporting characters in the game, encompassing different island locals and lesser gods, are well rounded and create a deeper background to the story.

The cutscenes are beautifully animated while establishing the key moments in the story and character interaction. In-game conversations are voice-acted with well-written dialogues for immersion. Cultural Impact
The incorporation of Polynesian mythology has highlighted a cultural heritage that is often but poorly represented in the mass media. By intertwining real historical elements with the gameplay, “Tiki Gods: Ancient Time” does more than entertain; it educates and raises awareness.
Criticisms and Areas for Improvement
Repetitive Gameplay
A general criticism is that a few aspects of the gameplay run the risk of repetition; combat is a little too much so. Although there is a variety of enemies and abilities, the main combat loop does not show much evolution. Greater variety in enemies and combat mechanics would help address this.
Technical Issues
Some players have experienced technical issues, such as bugs and glitches, that can detract from their experience. Though not common, these are certainly a worth-mentioning concern. Upgrades and patches provided by their developers should take care of them.
Narrative Pacing
Another area of criticism is the pacing of the narrative. Some players feel that the beginning of the story has a slow buildup and that the very end races through. Better pacing would keep players engaged throughout the game.
Conclusion
“Tiki Gods: Ancient Time” is a title that is truly one of a kind, promising action, adventure, and puzzle-solving against a backdrop of Polynesian mythology. Its virtues are in the playing and its wonderful images and rich sound design. This game promises to be a refreshing change from others in the market for the way it represents Polynesia culture with a sense of respect and authenticity.
Definitely not everything is perfect, such as some sections of repetitive gameplay and technical problems, but these features do not dim the overall quality of the game. Its value is evident in much community acceptance and cultural issues surrounding its entertainment and education successes.
This is a highly recommended adventure for the players, who would love nothing more but with a unique cultural theme. It’s a huge testament to the capacity of video games to explore, increasingly celebrate diverse cultures, and develop within them both fun and deeper understanding of the world’s rich heritage.
