Anker not only manufactures wire and mobile chargers, but taps into the market with a variety of wireless speakers and headsets. The company’s first true-to-wireless headset, Zolo Liberty, was unsuccessful, even criticized for poor connectivity and unmatched sound quality.
Back at the designer table, Anker released the upgraded version of the headset with the help of a community called Zolo Liberty +.

The Zolo Libery + earbuds are also reasonably designed. Headphones are thick, but they are small in width and wear very comfortable. The small ear cup are very effective in keeping.
Headphones are not equipped with active noise protection as the more advanced products on the market, but with such a tight fit, the passive noise resistance of the ear is good enough for off-road use.
The Zolo Liberty + is also equipped with the IPX5 waterproof standard, therefore you enough to use when rainy or exercise wear.
One of the features that the company mentioned a lot is the ability to call virtual assistant by pressing twice on the face of the headset. This is a touch button, not the induction, but the pressure to activate very light so I do not feel like tucked into the deeper into the ears as low-level headphones with cheap buttons.

To improve connectivity to the old version, the company has equipped Libery + 2 features that is Bluetooth 5.0 and an antenna LDS help the headset not lose music, along with reduced latency. I use it with a phone that does not support Bluetooth 5.0 but stop at v4.2, but the low latency of the headset is obvious! Of course when watching video, we will still see the picture ahead of about a third of the second, but not as bad as 2 more advanced product like WF-1000x and Bose Soundsport Free!
New phones like Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S9 or Sony XZ2 are all equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, so the latency will be even better. I appreciate Anker’s efforts to “correct” the fault of the old product, even better than the big brands.
Inside the headset is a dynamic speaker plate covered with graphene to increase the hardness, increase the feedback. But according to our tests with many of the headphones using graphene material, the ears have a different type of sound, so the final sound is still dependent on the tuning of the instrument.
For pairs of V-shape earphones, the midrange is not very prominent. Zolo Liberty + is no exception, leaving the singer’s voice a little bit off the beat. The sound is not too bad, too dark, too much airy feeling, comfortable. The high-mid section has a peak portion that will create a slight sibalance, not to the point of ruining the track but still recognizable. Zolo Liberty +’s middleware is nothing special, but quite easy to mix.
The treble volume is not much, but high up and less roll off should create high metal properties. This high-pitched sound is slightly electronic, so it is better suited to modern pop and dance than jazz with real Cymbal.
The company also gives users a software to control the headset called Zolo Life. In this software we can change the EQ (type of sound) of the headset. There is also a very feature called Transparency, which allows the user to hear external sounds without having to remove the headset from the ear through the integrated microphone.
Overall, the Zolo Liberty + offers a deep bass sound that fits in with young music and dance music. However, the sound quality of each ear is good enough to be worth with the price that users spend.
