Anker SoundCore Mini: designed as hard as stone
Anker SoundCore mini is really solid. Anker SoundCore mini can be seen as the most rugged portable speaker in the portable speakers I’ve ever held and experienced until now – it doesn’t include weather-resistant speakers. Maybe many of you think Anker SoundCore mini is sure it will be ludicrous, heavy – but no, it is very light and minimalistic.
Anker SoundCore mini possesses a very small appearance, just as big as an orange or fist, its height is less than 7cm, weighs only about 255g. The case of the speaker is made of rough aluminum, giving the grip a very firm, cool feel as well as bringing a luxurious appearance. The speaker cover is roughened so it also helps to reduce the stains and marks caused by fingerprints. One of the things I like about this speaker is that it doesn’t stand out so it can blend into the common space of my room or wherever I bring it.
With such a small size, Anker SoundCore mini can follow you anywhere. Just pick up and go. One point that Anker is very observant when designing the speaker is the rubber part under the speaker body. I rarely pay attention to this part but for the first time when I hold the speaker placed on the table, the speaker is tightly pressed to the table – even though my desk is a wooden table. On closer inspection, you can see that Anker SoundCore mini rubber foot is a circle, not a few rubber feet like other speakers. This keeps the speaker fixed on a flat surface, not easily dropped, increasing stability. An small detail of Anker himself did not advertise, but I think it is very valuable.
Anker SoundCore mini has many colors like black, pink, silver, gold. The version I received is black.
On the speaker body are 3 common buttons as other speakers are volume up, volume down, play / pause. These 3 buttons are very light and easy to press. Anker coated a rubber layer on these three buttons rather than metal like an outer shell to make the feel more comfortable. You will find it difficult to mistakenly press these buttons even if it is located directly on the speaker body. Another reason may be that these 3 buttons have a great depth.
Below are the on / off buttons, mode button, charging indicator light, micro USB charging port, micro SD card slot, microphone, 3.5mm jack.
The loudspeaker is designed with a full-range speaker with a 5 watt upwards capacity and a downward-facing passive bass speaker. This is the common design of portable speakers.
The speaker is contained in a white box with accessories such as a micro usb charging cable. Outside the box are the highlights of the speaker such as:
– Impressive sound
– Small but for 15 hours of continuous music playing.
– Connect to bluetooth 4.0.
– Diverse inputs such as: micro sd, FM radio, AUX input.
Anker SoundCore mini has simple but effective technology
The technology that Anker uses on Anker SoundCore mini mobile speaker is bluetooth 4.0 standard with highlights like:
– Bluetooth SIG completed the main standard of version 4.0, called Bluetooth Smart and applied from June 30, 2010. Bluetooth v4.0 includes Traditional Bluetooth, High Speed Bluetooth (HS) and Bluetooth energy saving (LE).
– Energy-saving Bluetooth (Bluetooth low energy – Bluetooth LE), also known as Wibree, has a new connection protocol to quickly establish simple links, replacing the traditional protocol Bluetooth v1.0 and Bluetooth v3.0 aim to consume as little power as possible. The choice between energy saving connections and traditional (more energy-efficient) connections is handled by a dedicated chip.
One of the features that I really like on Anker SoundCore mini mobile speaker is FM radio. I have a radio at home but it has to be plugged in to use it, so I can’t bring it out. To use the radio function on this speaker, do the following:
– Switch to FM radio mode by mode button.
– Press the play / pause button to let the speaker start scanning the connectable FM channels.
– You can then hold the up / down volume buttons to switch between channels.
– Press once on the up / down volume buttons to increase / decrease the volume.
Anker SoundCore mini has loud, well-controlled sound at low volume levels
5 watts is not a large capacity but what Anker SoundCore mini brings is very different. With the design facing up, the sound almost spreads 360 degrees.
Anker SoundCore mini is a good, versatile speaker
Anker SoundCore mini is a feature-rich speaker with multiple inputs combined with radio features. Anker SoundCore mini also gives up to 15 battery life so you don’t have to worry about the battery running out of the speaker. Anker SoundCore mini has a warranty period of up to 15 months and a good price will be a bargain for you.
