The strength of Mee Audio and now the MX Pro is unity. From the boxed way, we know that MX2 Pro belongs to the new generation of headphones, very similar to the box of MX1 Pro.

Design

The box design, accessories to the creation of the headphones of MX2 Pro are the same as the MX1 Pro! We still have a typical reverse hook design used very successfully by the company for a long time.

Sound quality

In the MX1 Pro review, I said that the pair of headphones has a very good sound quality. The bass is strong and powerful but lacks a little something in the high mid-range and treble, which we absolutely can require in higher-end product lines equipped with the Balance Armature diaphragm to handle those two strips. The good news is that MX2 Pro has become a testament to that. Although the headphones still follow the dark tone, click on the bass, but the two mid and treble bands have bright, close to the listener due to the help of the BA membrane.

Of course, we still have a very strong and powerful bass band like MX1 Pro, M7 Pro, or any pair of headphones ever released by Mee Audio. And if we look at MX2 Pro’s design purpose, we also see it directing this product to drummers and bass guitars, so highlighting this strip is understandable. Maroon 5 clear residues due to the punchy of mid-bass. Sub-bass drops deep, the band is very strong, but like Mee’s headphones, it doesn’t stick bleed phenomenon, keeping a clean sound.

The advantage of adding a Balance Armature speaker can be seen from the middle range. MX2 Pro’s vocalist still does not stand up close to the listener, but the extra energy in the high-mid segment also helps to sink into the background like a pair of lower-level headphones. Mee Audio built a very good crossover, so the transition between Dynamic’s low mid and the high mid of Balance Armature was quite smooth.

The low, middle part received the warmth from the bass, so it was thick and strong; In contrast, the high mid is strong; there is a soft peak that can create sibilance but just enough to make an impression. This mid sound is not bad at all, it still shows the sound quality of Mee Audio, but it has improved the weaknesses of MX1 Pro.

Treble also received the clarity and detail of BA film, with the amount and quality is significantly improved compared to MX1 Pro. The hihat is considerably thicker, with better energy to go through the heavy bass class of MX2 Pro. Also, thanks to this treble sound, the ‘elder’ MX2 Pro soundstage is somewhat wider than the MX1 Pro, a plus point not to be missed in the sound of these headphones.

Epilogue

The MX1 Protest made me more hopeful on the MX Proline, and MX2 Pro is the response of MEE of that hope. Although the exterior design is no different from its junior, the MX2 Pro pair has been equipped with a Balanced Armature film, which tested for a perfect sound in many ways. That is a worthy upgrade for anyone using the M6 Pro.
