amazon Diablo III Reaper of Souls reviews
Reaper of Souls – Sanctuary World must have nothing new to gamers around the world.
In 2012, nearly 11 years after the release of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, players have the opportunity to return to this chaotic world with new heroes, a new story through the Diablo III version.
Despite the controversy, there are multi-dimensional reactions from gamers, but there is an undeniable fact that Diablo is still an attractive name and one of the most successful “children” of Blizzard.
Recently, the first expanded version with the name Reaper of Souls has been released, promising to bring new and exciting experiences for gamers who are passionate about the action role-playing game genre “hack-n-slash”.
After the war in High Heaven, Diablo was once again defeated. However, his soul still exists in the Black Soulstone.
To avoid the aftermath, Tyrael and members of the (re-established) Horadrim Society decided to hide the stone in an isolated place, away from angels, demons, and even humans.
And just like that, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls takes players to a new but familiar land – Westmarch.
But the story is not over yet, Tyrael’s plan was thwarted by Malthael – Archangel of Wisdom before.
After abandoning the Angiris Council, Malthael unexpectedly returns with a malicious plot to take over the Black Soulstone.
Will the Nephalem heroes stop his conspiracy? What is Malthael’s true motive? All will be answered in this version of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls.
A new story, meaning players will continue their journey, confronting new enemies.
Waiting for them is the kingdom of Westmarch groaning under the invasion of Malthael and his henchmen. From the capital of Westmarch to the fortress of Pandemonium, this was certainly a difficult journey for the Nephalem.
The first thing to mention is that the level limit has been raised to 70. Upgrading the level means a series of new skills are added.
Each character class now has an additional skill at level 61, their runes will be “unlocked” gradually until level 70. Accompanying new skills support for each character class.
This directly affects the selection of skill sets, thereby increasing the variety of character building styles compared to before.
Next, it is sure to “increase points” every time you level up to Paragon, which will satisfy many players.
Previously, Diablo III was “gossiped” about adding points every time he leveled up, with Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, players had more options in creating a character like the most in my opinion.
In 70 fixed levels, the game will add points for players. But with the Paragon level system then, you will be free to change the character in the direction you want.
Of course, this “adding points” will not be merely through basic indicators such as Intelligent, Dexterity … but also through a separate Paragon board.
If we mention the advantages of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, it is impossible not to mention the Loot 2.0 system.
Strictly speaking, the items dropped from hitting monsters will match the player’s character class more than before. The level of items dropped when fighting monsters has also been adjusted to better suit the level of the character, the special attributes of that class.
No longer the scene where you hold items with the index “cross” as before. According to Wyatt Cheng, the items featured in this version will be less, but they will be quality.
Besides the traditional game mode, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls also introduces players to the Adventure game mode.
“Unlocked” after completing the main storyline (at any difficulty), Adventure Mode allows the player to move freely, accepting Bounty quests to receive valuable items treatment.
Adventure mode also contributes significantly to the “killing monsters – finding items” of the player when there are more rewards when completing the “bounties” in the level.

This is a new experience for players if you are too “fed up” with the storyline.
The NPC Mystic is also a valuable addition to Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, this character gives all the items the player collects the ability to become powerful equipment.
If you still… don’t like a certain attribute on your items, you can completely adjust them to other attributes through NPC Mystic.
However, the “price” you pay to get them isn’t that cheap, and a little … luck!
In addition to the improvements mentioned above, Blizzard also has some adjustments over the original version. The attributes of elite groups, champions have also been adjusted, adding new “bosses”.
Indeed, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls has made Diablo III a lot more playable than before.
This is also one of the main motivations that many gamers have to “spend” to own Diablo III: Reaper of Souls.
Even when it was first introduced, many gamers associated Crusader with Paladin – the very popular character class of Diablo II version – because of the similarities in both appearance and skills.
Described as divine warriors, the “sharp swords” of the Zakarum Church. With the fighting power that can “sweep” any enemy, with the teeth and powerful moves, Crusader is the most interesting character class in this version.
The Crusader launch meant that Diablo III’s previous character classes had to be rebalanced a bit. Some of the skills of Wizard, Witch Doctor, Monk, Demon Hunter, and Barbarian have been changed and reworked.
In general, these changes have been received quite objectively with obvious strengths and weaknesses.
This indirectly increases the “dramatic” quality in the battles between players (PvP). Players also have the opportunity to “change”, try their best with new character classes once they are too familiar with the available character classes.
Although the context of Malthael’s return is promising, what Blizzard chose to make up the plot of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls is mediocre, lacking in surprise, and interesting.
The details are almost predictable, do not evoke the curiosity and inquiries of the players, even sometimes quite odd, ridiculous.
In addition to the weakness of the arrangement and layout of the situations in the storyline, the actions of the characters in Diablo III: Reaper of Souls are not special, the personality of the villains is not shown clearly.
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls has a much better gameplay platform than the original version.
However, the story that the game wants to bring to the player is no different from a “cold” meal.
This is the point that Diablo III must receive the most “bricks” from gamers.
They believe that with a game that has a bold single-player experience like Diablo, it is “redundant” to have to regularly “online” to connect to Blizzard’s servers!
Unlike the console version, the PC version still requires players to log in through Battle.net and always connect to Blizzard’s servers.
This has been around since the very first version and as for the Diablo III: Reaper of Souls version, nothing has changed either. Therefore, when there is a problem with the internet connection, the enjoyment of the game turns into “torture” which is not easy to accept.
The lag occurs quite often, worse than the loss of connection to the server. Also, you cannot enjoy Diablo III in places with no internet connection.
Of course, Blizzard has their reasons for doing this, from updating patches, managing copyrights, or adding multiplayer experiences to players …
However, it would be more sensible if Blizzard gives players one more option than to have to be online regularly.
