amazon HyperX Cloud Stinger reviews
Open the HyperX Cloud Stinger box
Kingston retains the canning style of the Cloud Revolver: inside the crust with some introductory information that is a mysterious black box.
Simple, seamless design
The design of the HyperX Cloud Stinger gives me the impression of minimalism as soon as the box is opened: it is covered with a smooth black paint. I am used to gaming headsets with a lot of bumpy details, sometimes fancy colors that are provocative type of gamers, so to me, this is also quite strange.
HyperX Cloud Stinger has a solid, reliable, solid language design. This design made me sympathize with it much more. But that seamlessness does not mean Cloud Stinger is rigid and unstable. As soon as I lifted it out of the box, I immediately realized this headset could also be “transformed” pretty well.
The HyperX Cloud Stinger framework is a flexible metal bar, surrounded by a plastic shell with leather padding. Along with that is the system of sliding rails to increase the frame length. This makes a lot of sense to people who have small heads like me.
Perhaps to fit the various types of habits of use, the ear cups of Cloud Stinger have the ability to rotate 90 degrees to the front. This is a new addition to the HyperX Cloud Gaming line.
However, here is a little surprised and unhappy, as the microphone of the Cloud Stinger is attached to the left side of the headphone, not as removable as other HyperX Cloud brothers, and more, This microphone is also not included with the noise filter.
On the right is the volume control knob seamless, very simple.
Feeling of use:
Directly wearing the headphones, after some adjustments to fit, the feeling of wearing the Cloud Stinger is too soft, pleasant compared to the other headphones I used.
It is known that the weight of the Cloud Stinger is only 275g, 15-20% lighter than the majority of other gaming headsets in the segment.
Moreover, the pleasant feeling does not seem to come from the lightweight, but also from the ear pad with the membrane foam wrapped in imitation leather. This material also seems to offer relatively good noise-isolation – while wearing it feels like it is gagging, while the turn on music you does not hear the sound outside althought not at highest volume.
For testing, I’ve been wearing HyperX Cloud Stinger for 3-4 hours, combining gaming and music, headaches and discomfort. The original experience so with me is quite satisfied. However, the feeling of the microphone still made me a bit stuck, so then I try to use this microphone on the computer with a cable length of Y (1.7m) long.
With the split cable, the use of the Cloud Stinger microphone in the game (I experimented with Dota 2) and Skype went smoothly. This microphone is not as obnoxious as I thought: just to put it on the head of the headset is mute mode will be activated. When you need to re-use just to swipe it down conveniently.
The sound from this microphone is also not bad, according to the type of conference audio. However, as I mentioned above, there is still a lot of noise coming into this microphone.

Fast audio assessment:
After experimenting with a variety of tasks, including playing games, listening to music, watching movies in multiple formats, I can temporarily pull out some of the most notable basics, which you might as well Consider before buying the HyperX Cloud Stinger.
– HyperX Cloud Stinger is not strong on bass. If you listen to electronic music with a lot of bass then maybe this is not a headphone for you, the bass on the Stinger sounds like a drummer but just touches the drum face to stop it. The opposite is a treble, sometimes a bit high. Notice that the voice on the Stinger tends to be slightly warmer and echoier than normal. You can listen to a song of Maroon 5, will see the voice of Adam Levine warmer, but sometimes very thin very strange.
– HyperX Cloud Stinger is great for gaming, especially for eSports. Experiment on the popular esport game CS: GO shows that even if it is a stereo headset, there is no surround, but the sense of sound direction on the Stinger is good and accurate enough. Voice chat (or Skype / TeamSpeak) voice is very clear.
– HyperX Cloud Stinger is not suitable for watching surround sound movies. As mentioned above, if you want to watch 5.1 audio movies, I would like to warn you, the sound will be quite “flat”, in the style of moving through the ears of the stereo but not be as surround .
In general, in addition to the audio in some of the titles I’ve tested, mostly esport games, the sound of the HyperX Cloud Stinger is quite “common” in other audio tasks. There is a plus point that I have not mentioned yet, that Cloud Stinger can connect to almost all devices through the default 3.5mm jack. Xbox One, PS4, PC, Mac or smartphone are both. Tested on my Android smartphone, the machine immediately received a Stinger as a headset (including headphones and microphone), and all functions of the microphone as well as the headset used normally.
In a nutshell, the HyperX Cloud Stinger is a gaming headset worthy of what it brings. A good gaming sound quality, microphone for stable voice chat, great wearing feel. Stinger is the ideal headset for you, if you need a low cost gaming headset that will work with other devices. In my opinion, Stinger is a good choice: it offers a better gaming experience and experience than the price range. Probably with HyperX Cloud Stinger, Kingston will once again change the gaming experience.
