amazon NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE reviews
As every year, after the “hot” version with the suffix x80 released “breaking” all records so far, NVIDIA continues to optimize the architecture (and production line) to release Titan’s last boss, and for the GeForce Series 10, it’s no different. The company has released the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE series that challenges every challenge as well as “extends” the gap with AMD’s “red” rivals before the “official” Vega the battle.
Old design but not “boring”!
In this launch, NVIDIA still uses the familiar Founder Edition (FE) design language for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE. To say that different from every other year when the reference design always represents low quality, the standard design of the GeForce Series 10 with the Founder Edition style is an effort to change the impression “Bad” of the user.
In fact, compared to the GeForce Series 9 reference looks pretty rough with straight lines, the details are filled with plastic … the Founder Edition style is much more impressive. While still using the same black and silver tone, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE makes for a much stronger metal feel. The lines are beveled with healthy angles, “breaking through” with the metal screws creating a “strong” mechanical feel.
Next up is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE component quality, which is also ensured by NVIDIA’s high quality from the R22 Mosfet to solid capacitors. These components are extremely well laid out, only a pity that the quality of the “original” glue heat dissipation is not “perfect” so if you want a perfect display card, try upgrading with Branded ice cream radiators. Still, this is also NVIDIA’s best design up to now, which has been praised by Tom’s Hardware or MyDrivers for more than last year’s Titan X board. Therefore, you can be assured of the quality and durability of the product when operating for a long time.

The power “hit roof”
As the “boss” of the “green team” today, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE almost no opponents in the current single-card graphics. NVIDIA’s GTX 1080 Ti processor runs at the default clock rate, but still outperforms the heavily overclocked ASUS GTX 1080 with 28,125 graphic points compared to 23,203 on the GPU 3DMark FireStrike, equivalent to 21.2%. While with 3DMark TimeSpy on DirectX 12, the difference is only about 17%. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE’s power is quite different from the GTX 1080 and the difference is impressive compared to the “power consumption” of about 180W of the product at full load.
With today’s market tests, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE will not bore any games with 1080p resolution and the highest graphics setting. Even with some of the more popular games such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or Rise of the Tomb Raider, with the “exclusive” features of the “green team” graphics card such as the Hair Work, NVIDIA GeForce The GTX 1080 Ti FE still excels at smooth operation at over 60fps.
Coming to the “World War I” arena in Battlefield 1, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE has an average frame rate of more than 100fps at the highest setting. This is an ideal speed for a PvP FPS game, especially when it comes to high-speed 144Hz monitors alongside NVIDIA’s proprietary G-Sync technology.
Radiator is not really good!
Although NVIDIA is far better than previous versions, the Founder Edition design still suffers from some limitations. If for the GTX 1070, single-cage fan of the Founder Edition is still able to “bear good” level of the entire system at approximately 75 degrees Celsius, with the level of “waste power” by the GTX 1080Ti and the dense VRAM chipset system, the design of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE is a bit tougher compared to many fan-cooled designs.
In addition, the quality of the heat sink is just average, which means that the heat dissipation capability of the chips is less effective. However, this problem can completely “improve” . The average NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE is running at about 85 degrees Celsius, a fairly high level but still within acceptable range.
