Design
Samsung phones this year have some general design features and the Galaxy C7 is no exception. The machine uses metal on the back and glass on the front. Although the size of the screen is quite large, the feel of the Samsung Galaxy C7 is still comfortable due to the thin screen border and curved back to increase the feel of hand grip when holding.
Looking at the back, the C7 looks a bit like the mid-range Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime with two antenna strips running across the back but with an extra long antenna loop that reminds of the HTC One. The convex camera section is also a familiar spot on the Samsung phones of 2016.
On the front, glass surfaces with 2.5D curves reflect the light lines at the corners that make the C7’s look visually attractive. The screen on the C7 is quite thin and the 5.7-inch screen increases the feel of the thin bezel. Compared to the Samsung Galaxy A7, the C7 is equipped with LED status lights on the screen, helping users quickly recognize when have notification.
Despite its eye-catching looks and good grip, some of the design details on the Galaxy C7 are not really polished yet. The transition between the screen and the rim of the metal is not smooth, while the palm still feel the gap between the two materials. In addition, the front camera is also deviated from the frame on the screen, visible to the naked eye. This detail, though, does not affect the usage experience, but it is not nice.
Screen
C7 uses Samsung’s AMOLED screen. AMOLED screens on midrange Samsung phones such as the Galaxy A5 and A7 (2016) have recently performed well in AMOLED features: deep black, high contrast, brilliant graphics and ultra-wide viewing angles. However, these points on the C5 is not the same as a mid-range smartphone price range with the Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 (2016). When measured on a dedicated screen device, the black display and contrast of the Galaxy C7 is quite low, even lower than the IPS LCD screen on some other mid-range smartphones, not to mention the AMOLED screens on A-line products like the Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 (2016) or the Galaxy S high-end.
Screen viewing angle on the C7 is not as good as Samsung’s top smartphone. When viewed at an angle, the screen is slightly changed color, if attention will recognize this. It’s clear that Samsung is still creating a quality gap between the segments, despite all of its AMOLED screens.
The 5.7″ C7’s size gives you a lot more display space than the popular 5.5 inch. Full HD resolution is also a reasonable level to bring the screen sharp enough. The maximum brightness of the hand-held display is 345 nit, while the automatic mode of the manufacturer can be increased to over 500 nit for clear outdoor visibility. Unlike IPS LCD monitors, brightness was never a problem with AMOLED monitors on Samsung phones, even when the maximum brightness measured was only 300-400 nit.
Overall, the screen quality of the C7 is just okay, not quite as impressive as the Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 (2016).
Camera
The Galaxy C7 is equipped with a 16 megapixel camera with dual-tone flash, and a front camera with 8 megapixels resolution. The shutter speed is fast, but the shutter speed and HDR recording are slow. The speed of camera application is also fast with pressing the Home key twice.
In terms of image quality, the C7 exhibits good detail for daytime shots. The color reproducing machine is slightly brighter than the actual one and exhibits a slightly brighter range, so back shots often use HDR shooting.

Performance and battery life
The Galaxy C7 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM and an optional 32GB or 64GB internal memory. This is a mid-range configuration and, like many other mid-range Android handsets, the C7 delivers a good experience: fast app launchers, low latency switching and smoother Android games.
However, during the use of the Android device can not avoid sometimes jerky or delayed and with the midrange, this phenomenon occurs more frequently, more easily encountered. This is different when compared with high-end machines.

Software and features
