amazon Sony Cyber-shot T90 reviews
Ultra-slim stylish camera always comes with the disadvantage is the image quality is not good, most of which originate from the structure of the lens, due to placement in the compact space of the machine. But with the advances in image processing technology, chip processors can produce better images.
With the Sony Cyber-shot T90, the small body inside is a series of features without sacrificing image quality. Although the lack of wide angles still makes some people afraid.
With the familiar slim lens cover design, the metal case, the T90 continues to embody the stylish design of Sony. Like the T-series cameras, just by slipping the lens cover down you can start shooting, although there’s still a dedicated power button located at the top.
The machine is only 15mm thin and has a 3-inch wide touch screen. The T90 also uses a small battery like the same camera, alongside a memory card slot that supports the Memory Stick PRO Duo and the Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo. Also, add a tripod screw to the tripod mount located at the bottom. Slider zoom design is quite flexible, more convenient when viewing images and zoom while shooting and recording
The T90 has five different colors: blue, pink, silver, black and brown. It is compact in size and weighs only 128 grams, so it’s easy to put on your pants pocket, purse or bag. Slightly slim design direction from the T900, the T90 also owns Sony’s Xtra Fine LCD (921k pixels) that occupies almost the entire back. The only difference is that there is a long hook to hang the strap and also helps to hold the camera more firmly while shooting and shooting.
Inside is a 12.1-megapixel CCD sensor, a 4x optical zoom lens, with a wide aperture at its widest angle of F3.5. Unfortunately, the lens focal length range is not as wide as the existing competitor but is just an average of 35 mm. The lens is designed completely inside the machine, does not “indent” out and is located in the upper right corner. However, if your finger is too large, it will be very easy to cover the lens of the camera.
The touch screen interface is quite intuitive, with customizable options such as custom flash, macro shooting mode and self-timer shooting along the sides. Other options include the home screen – which allows you to switch between shooting modes, reviewing, replaying as slideshows, printing, memory, and settings – set to the top and bottom side of the shooting mode. However, people with big fingers will struggle to press because the keys are arranged on the touch screen quite close together.
The playback speed of the screen is quite slow. It is difficult to keep up with the speed of the subject movement and to move the camera with any fast motion. Like all other cameras, the camera does not have full manual controls, but still has some settings such as ISO, white balance, exposure and face detection. Smile detection technology also appears on this model and is reported by Sony to have improved better than the previous Cyber-shot. Of course, the camera also features a fully automatic shooting mode with options that are automatically adjusted to suit the situation.
The T90 takes 2 seconds after startup to capture the first image, the time it takes to start sliding the camera down and press the start button. If you just slide the cover down to start up the camera, then the first shot takes about 2.6 seconds. Shutter delay time is less than 0.1 seconds, quite standard for a line of sight. The touch screen is quite responsive, even overwhelming when it reacts to anything hard as a fingernail. When touching the screen, the machine responds by blurring and changing the surrounding area for the user to recognize.

Sony’s Cyber-shot image quality has not really been rated yet, but the T90 has a slightly different look. Although the noise control is not really good with objects at ISO 200 when the size of the image is up to 100%. However, there are some differences when viewing the result as a JPEG image. As the magnification decreases, the image at low ISO looks pretty cool, the color balance and the detail representation are very good for one compact camera. In most areas, the color appears natural and not too dark when compared to the actual scene.
The T90 shoots well with high contrast scenes, avoiding taking the camera out in bright areas. The color difference in the photos taken was low, this was a real surprise, and once again the quality of the lens was good.
Compared to the same cameras, such as the Canon Digital IXUS 200 IS, images from the T90 appear to have darker colors in white light. For example, the subject was taken in the light of the studio, you can see that the picture taken with the T90 (right) looks brighter. Photo taken at aperture F3.5 and shutter speed 1/40 sec. Whereas the IXUS 200 IS is taken at an aperture of F2.8, the shutter speed is 1/60 second (equivalent to the T90).
The T90 can shoot MP4 video at 720p resolution, which can be considered acceptable compared to other cameras of the same range. However, while rotating the autofocus lens is quite slow, especially when you switch between different subjects. The camera also has a built-in microphone for video recording but the sound quality is mono. Additional, noise filtering is not really good either. Users can use optical zoom while shooting, this can be considered as an advantage of the T90 compared to other compact cameras that can shoot HD video like Canon’s IXUS.
If you want to buy a camera with touch screen then the T90 is not a bad choice. It brings up pretty good pictures with a compact form. Although some things are not right on the screen, but the machine is easy to use. The remarkable plus of the T90 is the sleek.
