amazon Sony WF-1000XM3 reviews
Design
The box of this year’s WF-1000XM3 is no different from the product of two years ago, still small and has a product image in front.
Opening the butterfly wing box, we saw the pair of headphones and charger boxes neatly placed inside.
This charger box has been completely redesigned, smaller but also somewhat thicker. Along with that, the company has moved to the latest USB Type-C standard to simplify charging problems of users.
The battery life of the ear has been increased significantly, when used with the charger box can be up to 24 or 32 hours depending on whether users use active noise protection or not.
The kit below contains 6 pairs of rubber gaskets and short charging cords.
WF-1000xm3 this year has a new, larger design and looks even better. The version I have here is black, made matte and not glossy anymore.
On the outside, we have a large circle, which is the touch face so that users can stop, play music or call virtual assistant, adjust noise protection mode.
Although the headset is large, the inside is made small and reasonable, so it feels comfortable to wear. The inside also has a proximity sensor, which turns off the music automatically whenever we remove the headset from the ear.
The only downside to this pair of headphones is that there is no Waterproof standard. Still know that this is an in-house and office-listening product as if it is water-resistant, even if it is only IPX4, it will make users more secure.

Actual use
When released, the 2017 WF-1000x pair was praised by many experts for sound quality, but it had two major connection problems that made it imperfect: disconnected due to Use the old Bluetooth 4.2 standard and only connect one side to the power source, along with a great delay so it is not used for watching movies, playing games.
This year’s version was completely redesigned, with the Bluetooth 5.0 standard, the antenna range was greatly expanded and able to connect two headphones to the source at once. This means that the headphones are very solid, no longer having the same signal drop. Latency has also been reduced to the maximum, not unlike the new generation TWS products, and almost identical to wired headphones.
Another thing that has been upgraded is the active ANC noise protection. Thanks to the QN1e chip, the high-end microphone system makes WF-1000xm3 able to filter out most of the noise on the outside, helping users focus more on the music. With the new version, we were able to customize the noise level to suit ourselves.
In terms of sound quality, WF-1000xm3 did not have much change compared to the WF-1000x version released two years ago. But in my opinion this cannot be counted as a disadvantage, because the WF-1000x pair still has one of the most complete soundstyles in the TWS World so far, so re-using it in the new version is also easy to understand.
The bass of WF-1000xm3 is a great balance between quantity and quality. The drum is always moderate, not as much as the phenomenon of the eXtra Bass products (or the SP700n pair) of the company. Every time you press down, there is power, although it is not too heavy in quantity, it always leaves a good impression on the listener. The sub bass section doesn’t really focus on WF-1000xm3, but it is still very well controlled so it doesn’t overflow or jostle into the singer voice.
Like the WF-1000x, the Mark 3 version fixes the middle part of older generation headphones. Both pair of headphones have a very neutral singer voice from top to bottom, clean and have good detail. Emily Loizeau’s accent in Leaving You is bold but not lacking in sound so as not to be “clot”, escaping very well thanks to the bright high-mid. Also in this mid range, Wf-1000xm3 shows its remarkable detail. There will be a lot of pair of wired headphones on the market that can surpass Wf-1000xm3 in detail, because the sound coming to the pair of headphones will also have Bluetooth compression layers, but when compared to that wireless headphones and true-wireless, Wf-1000xm3 will definitely hold a top spot.
The new version of WF-1000xm3 has a slight change in the treble, when it is made lighter (albeit just a little) compared to the old version. This continues to be one of the best treble sounds in TWS pairs, when the amount is sufficient but not limited, moderate thickness and resonance rather than fast turn off. Lesson Lean On is played through WF-1000xm3 without much bass, but there is a “fuss” of the treble so it is very exciting, speeding up the music to make listeners want to dance!
