1.1. What is ChromeCast?

1.2. What types of ChromeCast are there?

ChromeCast 1: This is the first generation of ChromeCast, released 7/2013. ChromeCast shape compact design, slightly larger than USB. How to connect ChromeCast to TV

Make sure your TV has a USB slot.

Step 1/ ChromeCast’s HDMI end connects to the end of the device (smartphone, laptop, iPad, …), the other end plugs into the TV’s USB port.

Step 2/ The screen displays content asking you to set up Set me up > Download the ChromeCast application to your device.

Step 3/ Open the downloaded ChromeCast application > wait for the application to search for ChromeCast > click Continue.

Step 4/ The screen appears 4 PIN codes on the TV > You check that the PIN code matches the code on your control device > Pin code matches, you choose That’s my code.

Step 5/ You are asked to check the Wifi password information for the connected device. In this step, you can change the name ChromeCast > Click Continue.

Step 6/ The screen appears Sweet! You’re ready to cast > Select Start Using ChromeCast. You have successfully connected ChromeCast to the TV.
