Tin Hifi T4 is the latest headset from Tin Hifi. This sound company has caused a stir in the entire audio community worldwide after continuously producing blockbusters with the superior quality compared to Tin T2 or, recently, Tin P1.

Tin Hifi T4 is the successor of Tin T3. This time Tin Hifi decided not to use dual-driver technology or hybrid driver like previous versions anymore. Instead, Tin Hifi T4 will be equipped with only one full-range dynamic driver.

Overall, the design of Tin Hifi T4 is very similar to T2 and T3. However, it still has noticeable differences.

First of all, I enjoyed the surface of previous versions. We have a combination of rough and smooth surfaces, which brings a high-class but sophisticated feeling. Tin Hifi T4, from a different perspective, is more minimalistic with polished metal.

A highlight of the design of Tin Hifi T4 would be the faceplate of the housing. This concentric groove pattern reminds me of the propellers of jet engines.

If you look closely, we can see that the overall shape of the housing has been changed more compactly. One complaint about Tin T2 and T3 is that they could not cling to the ear, but this will be improved on Tin Hifi T4.

One of the other significant changes in Tin Hifi T4 is the included cable. In previous versions, many people complained about the ear hook’s hardness on the cord, and I also guess that it has caused the ear to slip out when being worn. The cable on Tin Hifi T4 has been re-adjusted in the ear hook part to feel more comfortable and flexible.

The core of the wire uses silver-plated copper with high purity to provide decent sound transmission. The entire connector systems are also wrapped in metal to help improve the product’s appearance and durability. This conductor feels quite similar to the previous one on iBasso IT01s that I have used.

With T2 and T2 Pro, we used to have a different dual dynamic driver technology. With T3, we get new hybrid technology with a Balanced Armature combined with a dynamic driver. But on the latest Tin Hifi T4, we will get more drivers inside, but no. The truth is that Tin Hifi T4 uses only a 10mm diameter dynamic driver. This driver uses a special Nanotube Carbon diaphragm that is expected to deliver wide and accurate response sound in all three ranges.

Maybe some people will be disappointed to see this information but wait, don’t let the driver numbers make you disappointed. Not every headset that is crammed with many drivers will work. I will prove that Tin Hifi T4 is the best sounding earphone ever I have heard of from Tin Hifi.

SOUND

That is the audio chart of the Tin Hifi T2 that I’ve reviewed. Here, the response frequency gives us a natural sound quality with pulled-back sub-bass and bass. According to other reviewers, I didn’t measure T2 Pro and T3, but the T2 Pro was even brighter than T2 and T3. It has improved bass and sub-bass because the treble was somewhere in the middle between T2 and T2 Pro.

And then, what about Tin Hifi T4? We will compare it directly to Tin Hifi T2.

Once again, we can see sharp peaks in the midrange and the treble, but it is somewhat smoother. However, what makesTin Hifi T4 unique is in the bass range. Finally, we have a headset from Tin Hifi with a wide bass range extending down to the sub-bass.

Bass range: The bass on Tin Hifi T4 is deep, firm, and neat. The bass notes are clean and definitive. Of course, it is much better than T2 in terms of sub-bass and slightly better than T3 in terms of volume; however, Bass on Tin Hifi T4 isn’t redundant in volume. Bass beats moderately, not encroaching other strips even when being turned up at high volume. The bass speed is average, not too fast but good enough for the sound to stop buzzing. Not to mention, this is one of the best bass earphones in the price range that I’ve ever experienced.

Mid-range: Mid-range with a little press on the high-mid makes the sound a little soft. That creates a very good effect with instruments like the trumpet or flute; the sound is very elegant and soaring. Details of the instruments and vocals are well presented, clear, and smooth. The singer’s voice is in the middle of the stage, not pushed too forward. Both male and female vocals are sung with good balance.

Strip treble: A little press on the low-treble part makes the sound more porous and glitter. Although there is a slight emphasis, the sibilant phenomenon is rarely encountered. The treble is smooth and easy to hear, not too dry or thorny as on Tin T3. The details of this sound strip are similar to the other two bands, which are very well expressed with clear notes.

Soundstage: Tin Hifi T4’s stage reproduces a wider range when compared to IEM headphones. It has a good width with average depth but not being able to create a 3D feeling. The sound is quite good, not excellent. The ability to separate instruments is very good when listening to complex music of musicians like Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield.

Following the success of Tin T2 and T3, Tin Hifi T4 will continue to resonate in the hearts of audio lovers with its design, finish, and sound quality at a very accessible price. If you are using an older version of the T series, then upgrade as soon as possible. Tin Hifi T4 will certainly not disappoint you.
