Keycap and Switch:
The appeal of this keyboard is that Agility RGB uses all the keys are optical mechanical keys. The benefit of an optical mechanical key is that it delivers a near-zero signal latency, when compared to a traditional mechanical key whose delay is typically around 30ms.
The switches used on this keyboard are Flaretech type switches. There are two different types of optical mechanical switches on the market: the LK switch and the Flaretech Switch. Flaretech Switch is a type of switch where all the important components of a switch are on the printed circuit board, and the Flaretech switch can also be hot swappable and not a dead-solder type on PCB. Therefore, keyboards use Flaretech switch, users can change any type of switch (red, blue, brown …) for any key on the keyboard.
Below the PCB at each switch socket will include a backlight that can be RGB type that can be a monochrome light, and most importantly, 2 IR PTR lights (infrared photothermal radiometry technology) used to identify motion cut off the communication line between those two IR lights. You will see that it has the appearance of an infrared anti-theft circuit, which is often created or manufactured by beginners of basic electronics.
Basically, optical mechanical switches still have physical moving components. When you press a key, a cylinder moves in the shaft, and a spring pushes the cylinder back to its original position. At each switch, there will be a lock that moves up and down with each press of the key, this will cut off the infrared signal and the controller will understand that you have activated that key. Optical mechanical switches also have the same physical characteristics as traditional mechanical switches, meaning there are also clicky (Blue), short travel (Red) and quiet (Brown) types.
In terms of keycap, there’s not too much to say about keycap on Agility RGB. Still the cross key keycap type is produced based on ABS painted black, the characters are engraved with laser ink with clear, sharp fonts.
Experience the keyboard:
Regarding the typing quality of this keyboard, we can say there is nothing to complain about this keyboard. The Agility RGB keyboard that we experienced is the use of clicky switches with clear, clicky sound. Arranging the distance between the keys is reasonable, not too difficult to familiarize yourself with this keyboard as well as during text typing nor encounter any case of mistyping any key when using this keyboard in short time. Backlight can be adjusted by brightness but even at maximum brightness does not cause glare that makes us easily distracted during use or gaming.
Regarding IP68 certification, we can say this is a Key Selling Point of this keyboard. We tried soaking up this keyboard and used it right in the water and it was interesting that you can still do everything from typing text, changing the backlight type … Of course, there will be no user. come on
