Meanwhile, on the back will be arranged a Type-C charging port. The charging box uses a folding lid opening and closing mechanism with a hinge that is designed to be very sturdy.

The pair of E7B headphones will fit inside the charging box and have the same color from the housing to the ear tips. Just like the charging box, the E7B headset has an outer shell made from high-quality plastic that is scratch and impact-resistant. The housing has a rounded shape that allows the headset to feel snug, and comfortable when worn. Choosing the right ear tips will significantly improve the passive noise-canceling ability of the Yamaha TW-E7B.

This is a very smart feature. The sensor has high sensitivity, while the buttons have good bounce.

Features and technology

As the most advanced True Wireless headset model in this launch, the Yamaha TW-E7B is fully equipped with all the most advanced features and technology. Prominent among these is the exclusive Listening Care technology upgraded to the Advanced version. This is a very interesting technology that allows the E7B to compensate for missing audio frequencies. Thanks to that, the sound ranges are clear and realistic even when users adjust the sound at low volume levels. At high volume levels, audio signals are calibrated so that they have little negative impact on the listener’s eardrum.

Working in tandem with Listening Care Advanced is a technology that optimizes the listening experience called Listening Optimizer. Through the microphone cluster, E7B will measure and check the fit of the headset when worn on the ear. Then automatically customize the sound quality in real time for the best detail and accuracy. The microphones on the Yamaha TW-E7B are equipped with CVC noise cancellation technology, allowing for sharp, clear conversation quality. The E7B eliminates wind noise quite well, so conversations on the move have quite impressive clarity.

In addition to possessing the Ambient Sound feature, a very notable upgrade of the E7B is Advanced ANC active noise cancellation. This is a feature that the two tws models E5B and ES5A are not yet equipped with. The new algorithm allows the Advanced ANC feature to eliminate noise and background noise much more effectively. All noise from car horns, engine sounds, and talking to wind noise are eliminated.

Compared to the two versions E5B and ES5A, the Yamaha TW-E7B is also slightly upgraded in terms of connectivity. In addition to integrating Bluetooth 5.2 standard, TrueWireless Mirroring technology and supported by the aptX/SBC/AAC codec series, the E7B also can quickly connect to the source through the Fast Pair feature. To make the experience of watching movies and playing games perfect, the headset has a built-in Game Mode that allows reducing sound latency to a very low level.

Enabling/disabling the Game Mode feature is done through the Yamaha Headphone Control application. This application also supports customizing sound quality, and monitoring the battery status of each headset,…

Carrying a series of great features, it is obvious that the E7B will consume a lot of power. Understanding this, Yamaha has equipped a large capacity battery inside the charging box and headphones. When fully charged, the headset can operate for 6 hours continuously, and using it with the charging box will increase battery life to a maximum of 22 hours.

Sound quality

Clear, natural, and authentic is the characteristic sound of the Yamaha TW-E7B. Regardless of any music, the E7B delivers energetic sound performances with clear timbre and natural tones so it’s not too flattering and not too bass-heavy. The balance between the sound bands and sharp contrast makes the sound quality that the E7B provides very catchy and attractive. The surrealism in the mid-range helps the vocal part have good volume and creates separation from the background sound and the sound of the instrument ensemble.

Aiming for balance makes the bass range more compact with just the right amount of force. Although the bass has good bounce and dynamics, it is not dragging and is well controlled so as not to encroach much on the mid-range. Meanwhile, the treble range sounds very smooth, and flexible and does not cause unpleasant noises. Technically, the E7B has a deep soundstage, the ability to separate detailed layers, and vivid sound imaging, so the sound stage is staged honestly and vividly.

If you love balanced sound quality with clear vocals but still want to enjoy powerful bass beats, the Yamaha TW-E7B noise-canceling headphones are the perfect choice.
