Overall design Zotac GeForce GTX 1080Ti AMP! Extreme Edition graphics card
The packaging of the product remains unchanged compared to the Zotac series of graphics cards. Still a dominant yellow tone, a digital dashboard displays the specs of a machine in space. Accompanied by the product name, the brand name and the technical specifications featured on the product
On the back we have enough previous preview images of the product but the picture is quite small and does not really have eyes, accompanied by pictures of some of the highlights of this graphics card.
Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP! Extreme Edition is a large and heavy graphics card. The design of the radiator cap is somewhat simpler compared to the AMP version! Edition. The radiator grille is covered with a grayish-gray coating, above and below the plastic splashes of translucent RGB light running throughout the length of the radiator.
This product of Zotac is equipped with three 90mm cooling fans with 9 air vents. The Zotac logo is still in the center of the fan shaft.
Above, the radiator cover covers almost the entire aluminum foil clamp. Zotac and Geforce GTX logos are attached at the top of the radiator cap.
Bracelet in the center with Zotac’s familiar Push The Limit slogan.
Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP! Extreme Edition should be powered through two 8-pin PCIe connectors.
The backplate is equipped with a backplate protecting the components on the back of the PCB, which also covers the back of the card and a portion of the aluminum chassis. At the back, we can see two SuperCap capacitors that Zotac calls PowerBoost equipped to ensure a sufficient and clean source for the GPU in all situations including GPU overclocking. Behind the scenes, a table lamp with the Zotac logo is illuminated by the light of the RGB LED backlight. The backplate surface is treated by simple but no less beautiful.

PCB design brief:
Next, we proceeded to separate parts of the product to learn more about PCB components …
The layout as well as the quality of PCB processing of the product is very good, the components are arranged mostly at the rear edge of the card. The GPU area and VRAM memory are quite empty.
It is easy to see that the Mosfet VRM is not directly cooled by the radiator, which only inherits the downward flow of air and is cooled through an aluminum radiator beneath it.
To bring the power to the GPU, Zotac equips the GPU with 12 + 2 phases for the GPU, two power phases for the VRAM. The power controller is still uP9511 IC manufactured by UPI Semiconductor
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti (GP102-350) and GDDR5X memory are provided by Micron.
Support for connecting VR wear devices, Zotac provides an additional Micro-USB connector at the output port of the screen.
PCB backing is not much of a cluster of components, we can see in addition to two SuperCap capacitors also have RGB light control chip.
Epilogue:
With the Zotac GeForce GTX 1080Ti AMP! The Extreme Edition, powered by a very high GPU clock (1645MHz / 1759MHz base / boost), has shown very good performance in most of the game tests we’ve been through.
Sophisticated design but not too heavy on the bustle, combined with the more elegant RGB Spectra system makes this product a sure investment for high-end gaming systems.
