amazon Moto M reviews
Design
Moto M’s monolithic design is quite eye catching and striking in the mid-range segment. While many machines in the same price range usually use metal backing with two large pieces of plastic to make antennas, the Moto M’s back is cut just by two smaller and more beautiful antenna bands. Compared to last year’s Z line, the Moto M has a more general design, due to the lack of compatibility with the Moto Mods.
Camera and flash are grouped together into a prominent cluster on the back, looking through can be confused with dual cameras. It can be said that the back of Moto M is associated with high-end phones such as HTC 10 or Apple iPhone 7 Plus. The front of Moto M with 2.5D curved glass looks quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy A7 2017, but the design of the speaker is more beautiful than the Samsung.
Moto M is also good compared to a mid-range device. The diamond beveled slats, the bottom flaps and the USB Type C port are straight, the 2.5D curved glass is beautifully designed … details show the investment in the design. In addition, the manufacturer said the machine is coated with a nano layer to be able to “anti-water”, ie water resistance is mild. Although not clear standard dust resistant, water resistant but this is a bonus point of this product.
Compared to the simple design of the Moto G series or the power of the Moto Z series, the Moto M has a more general design and uses good material, suitable for a wide range of users. In terms of looks and perfection, Moto M is also better than many competitors at the price of $300.
Monitor and speakers
Moto M uses an LCD screen, Full HD resolution is quite popular today. The display quality of the screen is pretty, the maximum brightness of 471 nits should show good outdoors. The color reproduction screen is realistic, close to reality, and this is also shown when using a dedicated instrument.
In addition to the standard color display mode, the camera also has a vibrant color scheme that displays a slightly brighter color, but not as super flamboyant as the Sony Xperia XA1.
The loudspeaker on the Moto M is quite loud, can be heard on the street or in the office environment. The quality of the speakerphone of this phone is also quite good, the bass is not bad and for listening to music, watching movies okay. The machine is also equipped with Dolby Atmos software, with the optimal audio mode for music, movies.

Camera
Moto M’s main camera has a resolution of 16MP, phase-shift and dual flash. The front camera has a resolution of 8 megapixel, dual flash with screen (can choose to light in yellow or pink when shooting selfie).
The camera’s interface is very different from previous Moto machines and features more Lenovo products. The options are fully displayed, easy to grasp, but in automatic mode, the user does not adjust the manual exposure, but to switch to professional mode.
Moto M’s focusing speed is fast and accurate thanks to the phase-locked mode. The speed capture and save of normal image is fast, but the HDR image has to wait a long time before saving. It also supports opening snapshots by double-pressing the power button.
Photos from Moto M are high-definition, even when taken at night, the details are very separate. However, when pushing high definition, the photo will be a little noise, can see some thorny details when zooming.
The color is close to reality rather than in darker colors, so some scenery scenarios may not glide like the Xperia XA1. The light range of the machine is quite good, HDR images can improve a lot, but colors are a bit “virtual”.
For selfie images, the screen illumination (called “sub leds”) is quite useful for evening shooting. Users can also choose the appropriate light color between the two yellow and pink. The quality of the self-portrait is not really impressive, the night shots are susceptible to shaking despite the bright light.
Performance and battery life
The Moto M version trial using the MediaTek Helio P15 processor. This is a minor upgrade of the Helio P10 chip that appeared on many smartphones last year, with eight Cortex A53 quad-core (quad-core running at 1.25GHz and 4 times 2.15GHz). It has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which can add up to 128GB via MicroSD card.
With a medium range, Moto M’s performance is not really impressive. Thanks to Moto’s minimalistic software package, conventional operations are smooth, fast. If you only use the machine to enter the social network, surfing the web or taking pictures, you will rarely encounter the condition of the machine is slow, jerky. 4GB of RAM also offers great multitasking capabilities.
However, to play a game is another story. The Mali-T860MP2 graphics processor (dual-core 800MHz) does not have the power to carry heavy games at Full HD resolution. In Dead Trigger 2, at the heaviest graphic setting, Moto M only reached an average frame rate of 27fps.
