After nearly two years since the launch of SteelSeries Kinzu V2, SteelSeries continues to release its third-generation Kinzu V3 mouse. According to the manufacturer’s announcement, the Kinzu V3 will continue to be the “old bottle – new wine.” The shell will be no different (or very little different), but the inside will be completely different.

Drivers

Just like SteelSeries’s new gaming gear, the Kinzu V3 uses the latest SteelSeries Engine 3 driver (version 3.2.8).

The My Gear show lists gear and the SS Engine 3 you have; the Tab Library allows you to assign each profile, equipment to each game/program you want to use.

SteelSeries Engine 3 is an impressive driver:

• Consumes less computing resources.
• Synchronizes all-new (SS) products.
• Adds support for “cloud” profiles.

Experiment

First of all, I will test the Kinzu V3 with paint on different CPI to see if the Kinzu V3 is smooth. I use the QCK Classic pad. Sens Win 6/11, off Win acceleration, polling rate 1000. Sensor Avago 3050 has a CPI from 250 to 2000, double CPI up to 4000; if you look at this parameter, we can see Kinzu V3 pretty modest compared to the mouse. Other games (including the same price segment), but the high CPI nature, are only “demonstration,” less usable.

Through the test, we can see that the Avago 3050 Sensor on the Kinzu V3 is very stable and completely free of jitter at CPI 1000 or below; at CPI 1500, Kinzu V3 starts to operate unstably and less smoothly. Auto-correction is but very few.

Experiment with CS: GO

For entry-level gaming mouse like the Kinzu v3, the Avago 3050 is one of the best, most stable sensors.

Feeling when the aim is not much different from Kinzu V2. At the CPI 500, I reduced the Sensitivity from 3.0 to 2.4 (Kinzu V2 CPI400 Sens in Game 3.0). Kinzu V3 gives me good aim feeling, delicious tapping, firm mind, very good spray.

Compared to the Kinzu V2 Black, the Kinzu V3 black has a slightly better grip, smoother, smoother, and easy to sweaty.

Summary

After about a week of using Kinzu V3, I have not noticed any bugs. At this point, to me, Kinzu V3 is a great Gaming Mouse that meets my needs. Objectively, Kinzu V3 is not a perfect product. What I want more than the mouse wire is covered, and the USB jack is plated anti-jamming. However, it’s hard to ask for more at a reasonable price and what Kinzu V3 has to offer. Consider all three factors: price-performance – brand, can say Kinzu V3 is an excellent product, worth to buy.
