Design and price

Laptops often have to reduce screen size to increase portability with light weight and overall dimensions just right. The LG Gram, however, shows that a lightweight laptop with a fairly modest size can still own a fairly large screen, good performance and impressive battery life.

The LG Gram 2017 laptop has three screen versions, 13.3 inches; 14 inches and 15.6 inches for $ 1000 for the smallest version and up to $ 1500 for the largest version. All three versions feature full HD touchscreens with IPS games, Intel Core i7-7500U processor, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. This is an acceptable price for such a configuration, especially with a laptop weighing only 1kg and only 1.55cm thick.

Size and volume are things I like about LG Gram 15, but the overall design and feel of reusability are unconvincing. The magnesium alloy frame does not create the same sense of security as laptops with premium aluminum casing, especially the lid. Machine covered with a dark silver paint from the inside out makes it difficult to stand out and not really impress.

Monitor and camera

Full HD display with ultra-thin design will bring a lot of fun for you. LG is very strong in the production of TVs and monitors, so it’s no surprise that the LG Gram 15’s display quality is very good. The display is sharp, the colors and brightness are very good and the viewing angle is very wide. However, sometimes the screen is slightly glossy and may make you uncomfortable. In addition, the screen also has built-in Reader Mode that allows to reduce the bluish color quickly.

Due to the thin edge of the screen plus, LG has positioned the camera right at the hinge of the screen and makes the camera catch your nose. In order for the camera to receive all of your face, the screen section must be open at a 90 degree angle.

Keyboard and Touchpad

Comfortable Typing Experience

The LG Gram features a full-sized keyboard with well-spaced keys and decent key travel, providing a comfortable typing experience. The keys have a soft, tactile feel, making long typing sessions more comfortable. The keyboard is also backlit, allowing for efficient typing in low-light conditions.

Large and Responsive Touchpad

The touchpad on the LG Gram is generously sized and highly responsive. It supports multi-touch gestures, which enhance productivity by enabling smooth scrolling, pinch-to-zoom, and other gestures. The glass surface of the touchpad feels smooth and precise, offering a premium user experience.

The LG Gram is equipped with a stereo speaker system that delivers clear and immersive sound. The speakers are tuned by DTS Ultra, providing a rich audio experience with good bass and crisp highs. While the audio quality is impressive for a laptop of this size, it may not replace a dedicated external speaker system for audiophiles.
