amazon NZXT H710I reviews
Previously, we had an article about H700i computer case under the brand NZXT. Over time, the user trend has changed and NZXT has also launched a new H-series chassis with a number of upgrades and improvements to meet the increasingly diverse needs of special users in the era of magical and colorful RGB lighting.
The new NZXT H710 is available in two versions, H710 and H710i. Both models have the same dimensions, characteristics and internal specifications as:
Still a mid-tower case with dimensions of 516 x 494 x 230 m.
Supports most popular ATX form motherboards (up to 270mm in size)
Integrated RGB LED.
Supports graphic cards up to 413mm long
Lets stand up graphics card, support maximum card thickness 2-slot.
The side of tempered glass
Supporting the installation of water radiators with 240 / 360mm radiator on both the front and the top.
Expanded USB Type-C connector.
NZXT’s patented exclusive wiring bundling channels are more convenient to manage and keep the system tidy.
The innovative features of the new H-series compared to the previous generation are the new H-series, which has integrated a high-speed USB Type-C port on the front, supporting vertical GPU installation.
In addition, with the version of H710i that we make today, the HUE2-compatible RGB array and the Smart Device2 controller are available to support up to 8 cooling fans for the system.
Exterior Design:
NZXT H710i in particular or H710i / H710 in general still retain the design from the previous generation H700i / H700. It still includes 3 sides painted white metal and one side tempered glass.
Overall, the NZXT H710i still carries a closed design, only comes with a small brand name on the front of the product. With such a closed design, to ensure sufficient air flow into the case, NZXT has created small ventilation holes across the sides of the case.
The power button and expansion ports are located on the top of the chassis, suitable for those who leave the chassis under the table. We can see besides the 2 USB 3.1 ports, there is also the appearance of a high speed USB Type C 3.1 Gen2 connector.
Besides supporting up to 7 horizontal expansion slots, one of the new features of H710i is the ability to support vertical VGA installation, the supported VGA has a maximum thickness of 2 slots, this is the common thickness of Most VGA lines are available on the market.
Internal design:
Inside, there is still a distinctive design of NZXT which is a cable shield, a 2-compartment design with a metal storage compartment. Easily identify the NZXT brand through an embossed logo.
Non-removable motherboard, NZXT supports a series of motherboards up to 270mm. Users can still install big-size motherboards like ASUS Maximus XI Extreme, but you’ll have to sacrifice the cable cover to take up the motherboard installation space, and also need to adjust the location of Smart Device 2 a little.
Users can install up to 3 2.5 ổ drives in this area. NZXT has been very meticulous in helping users hide cables including data / SATA power cables.
NZXT H710i will be equipped with up to 4 cooling fans by default, including 3 Aer F120 fans in the front and 1 Aer F140 fan in the back. The front also supports the installation of radiators up to 360 and of course there is also space for users to install water pumps.
Besides supporting 7 PCI slots, one of the new improvements from NZXT H710i is to allow users to install the GPU vertically. Note when standing, only support graphics cards with a maximum thickness of 2 slots.
Above, a HUE2-compatible RGB led bar is available for H710i version. Besides, the cable cover also comes with an RGB led light bar. It can be said that the provision of RGB LED wires is one of the most outstanding additions on the H710i.
The top of the H710i also supports a radial size of 360mm with a removable rad tray, making the installation of rad and cooling fans simpler and more convenient.
Smart Device 2 with 3 control channels supports up to 8 PWM fans, along with 2 RGB LED channels in which 1 channel has been used for the built-in LED Trip system in “i” series versions.
The back of the NZXT H710i chassis, retains the style of the previous generation. With wiring channels and bundled registered exclusively by NZXT. With available wiring channels to help users simplify and the system is also cleaner in cable management.
The back also comes with 2 tray 2.5″ drive bays, so we can install up to 5 2.5 ổ drives on the NZXT H710i case.
Right inside the PSU is the 3.5″ hard drive tray, supporting up to 3 removable HDDs to be installed.
Perfect the system:
The installation of hardware devices in H710i is quite fast and simple, the most time consuming stage in building the system is wiring. Due to the built-in wire channels making wiring becomes a very interesting job.

NZXT CAM software:
One of NZXT’s pride in their product system is the CAM software. This is a software that almost you will have all when using the ecosystem from NZXT. From system monitoring, adjusting the Kraken cooling system, customizing the RGB lighting system or even overclocking the graphics card. Unfortunately, NZXT CAM doesn’t support processor overclocking and RAM memory.
Main interface of NZXT CAM. At this screen, you can capture all information and status of the system from the hardware to the usage status of the software.
The Specs tab will provide all the system components information.
Section LIGHTING, this is where you will customize the RGB lighting effects available on the system. Controlled light can come from Smart Device 2 that comes with the case or combines with its own equipped HUE 2 device. With HUE 2 supporting up to 6 inputs of RGB lighting, some devices other than the NZXT ecosystem can still connect to control and synchronize lighting through a few cable modifications and heads plug compatible with HUE 2.
As for lighting options, besides choosing the type of RGB light emitting for each individual channel, you can also select lighting effects according to the theme built by NZXT CAM.
And finally, the performance tuning tab of the video card. The CAM software supports overclocking both the GPU and VRAM memory of the card and saves it to the corresponding profiles you need to be able to change it accordingly to keep the graphics card in top condition.
Epilogue:
Finally, the NZXT H710i is a simple-to-use chassis, with side tempered glass that allows it to display all the components inside. Despite the closed design, the vents along the sides are sufficient to ensure a smooth airflow to keep the internal components stable at a constant temperature.
The installation of cable channels and cable bundles makes cabling behind the chassis become simpler and more neat, more beautiful.
The NZXT H710i may not be suitable for those who love superficiality, but it is a good option to ponder if you need a simple design case, but get everything you need like storage performance optimal airflow, transparent glass to show off, especially the shimmering RGB lighting effect when combined with the NZXT ecosystem such as AER RGB fan system, Kraken X heat sink …
