amazon Shozy Form 1.1 reviews
DESIGN AND FINISHING
Shozy Form 1.1 has a compact droplet design similar to iBasso IT01s but it’s not what special about the appearance of this headset. So far, the type of housing finishing with a resin material can only be found on mid-range headphones, some models do not even have metal sound tubes. Yet the housing Shozy Form 1.1 at the price of less than $100 is 3D printed and covered with resin on the outside, polished by hand, and used high-end aluminum sounding pipes.
Upon closer inspection, the faceplate of the Shozy Form 1.1 is covered with glitters and the gold-plated Shozy logo is extremely beautiful.
The special air outlet on the body is carefully wrapped with metal.
Shozy Form 1.1 uses the extremely popular 0.78mm 2-pin connector, so you can easily upgrade the wire whenever you need it without worrying about plug compatibility.
The conductor that goes along with Shozy Form 1.1 is also decent in housing quality. All the jacks, connectors, and the fork junctions are all wrapped in shiny metal and also feature a luxurious anti-jamming carbon pattern. The core, according to Shozy, is high purity OFC copper. The outer shell is wrapped quite sturdy and professional as well.
Unbelievable! Shozy Form 1.1 is ridiculously well finished considering its price. It is impossible to understand what Shozy is thinking anymore, there aren’t any weaknesses in the design and finishing on Shozy Form 1.1. If the sound of the headset is good enough, it will really be a great bargain.
STATISTICS AND CONFIGURATION
Shozy Form 1.1 has a Hybrid structure, combining 2 different types of drivers on one headset.
The low and mid-range are handled by a dynamic driver with a diameter of 9.2mm. The driver is covered with Beri to increase durability, response speed, details, and to reduce the distortion of the sound.
A Balanced Armature driver is responsible for the mid and high range of Shozy Form 1.1. The use of the BA driver will provide clarity, fine details, better control, and extended high range.
EXPERIENCE AND SOUND QUALITY
Shozy Form 1.1 fits well even with girls, thanks to the neat housing design and the fairly high sounding drainage tube that the eartips can go deeper into the ear canal.
The soundproof ability of Shozy Form 1.1 is incredible. It is especially good when you use the sponge eartips. This will allow Shozy Form 1.1 to have a quieter background and is hearable even in noisy environments. However, I strongly recommend not to use Shozy Form 1.1 when being in traffic because you will not be able to hear sounds from outside.
Ability to coordinate
Despite not being sensitive, the Shozy Form 1.1 is still easy to pull. A phone or a compact audio player can bring the power of this headset to the peak. In the sound quality test, I will try testing with Hiby R3 Pro.
The sound chart of Shozy Form 1.1 is a U-Shape with a little press on the bass and the treble while the mid strip is pulled gently back. The overall sound is still quite balanced, but there isn’t any deviation in any sound range, warm and smooth sound.
Bass range: The bass quality is deep, full, and heavy. The bass focuses primarily on the mid-bass while the sound is clean and has a great bounce. The pace of the bass range is quite fast, faster than most headphones that use the same dynamic driver. Experimenting with Through the Fire and Flames, Shozy Form 1.1 was able to keep the bass rhythm from sticking together. Each successive bass meltdown makes the music really fire. The bass was also controlled really well, not being flared or buzzing. The experiment with Track Bubbles by Yosi Horikawa also shows the ability to layer with more complex music. In this price range, it is difficult to criticize the bass of Shozy Form 1.1 because it really is incredible.
Mid-range: Warm, smooth, quite clear, and natural. The vocals are pushed a bit behind for a sense of relaxation and comfort. A little press on the high-mid makes the high notes become sharper. The Haruka track of Gaia Cuatro serves as a great example. Another noteworthy point is that the sound on Shozy Form 1.1 is handled smoothly without any notes being harsh, it makes the whole song more emotional. The details of this headset are quite good. Shozy Form 1.1 does not go into the details of the song, but instead, keeps it balanced and harmonized so that it will not wear off your ear for a long time.
Treble band: Another bright spot on this headset. It has a good opening, is brittle and porous. Maybe some of you, especially the treblehead if listening to the original string will not agree with me in this clause. Indeed, when listening to the original string, I also feel that the treble strip is lacking the necessary sharpness but I believe that Shozy Form 1.1 can do better than that. I tried borrowing a friend’s Hyperion Satin cord and the result was similar to what I described above. With stock rope, the treble will be somewhat darker, less tinkling but still acceptable to the majority.
Soundstage: Shozy Form 1.1 has an average soundstage, neither wide nor narrow. It was exactly like listening to music in a small tea room. Theater space has good coverage which creates a clear stereo effect. With the stock rope, the ability to layer as well as the sound image is not really good, just average. When upgrading the cord, for example, Satin Hyperion, this area will be significantly improved, including the depth and height of the stage. In general, with the price of under $100, the details of the soundstage are completely reasonable.
Finally, what kind of music is Shozy Form 1.1 fit to play?
All genres of music, obviously. The earphones have enough bass range so you can play EDM, fast enough that you can play Punk Rock or Death Metal, smooth and clear enough to listen to vocal or Jazz, bright enough to listen to J-Pop.
CONCLUSION
Shozy Form 1.1 offers us what:
– A headset whose wires can be replaced and upgraded extremely easy with the standard 2pin 0.78mm
– A headset that can play many types of music decently
– A headset that isn’t too exclusive about the source because it does not focus on clarifying the micro-detail.
