LittleBigPlanet 3 – Since the first release until now, the LittleBigPlanet series has been a lot of success thanks to the simple “platforming” (running, jumping, climbing) gameplay along with the ability to customize a variety of worlds.

Even the main character Sackboy was chosen as one of the “Mascot” (the character representing the brand) for Sony.

On the winning streak, so far, five LittleBigPlanet-branded titles have appeared on Sony’s PlayStation-labeled console and handheld platforms.

Among them, the most prominent are still the first two versions that appeared on the PS3 system and were developed by the limited manpower studio – Media Molecule.

Therefore, the sixth game in this series has been highly anticipated, as it is in the mainstream release under the name LittleBigPlanet 3.

However, it was not created by its “father”, but was assigned by Sony to develop for Sumo Digital, which has built a reputation through sports titles.

So, will LittleBigPlanet 3 this time maintain the performance and continue the success of its predecessors?

The first two versions of LittleBigPlanet focused more on gameplay than plot.

Therefore, Sumo Digital decided to change that by paying more attention to the content of Sackboy’s new adventure.

Of course, the plot in LittleBigPlanet 3 is simple and predictable, but it creates a more attractive and final atmosphere for players.

The story begins in the world of Bunkum in a turbulent time, Sackboy is deceived by a man named Newton (voiced by Hugh Laurie – famous as Dr. House in the movie of the same name), making him accidentally destroyed the seal holding the three giant monsters of Titan.

Therefore, Sackboy must set out to search for three legendary heroes – those who defeated and sealed the ancient Titan, to save the world of Bunkum from destruction.

The names of the three heroes are Oddsock, Toggle, and Swoop.

And these are also the three new main characters in the game that players can control alongside Sackboy.

With the traditional “fabric” character design style, these characters are interesting additions to LittleBigPlanet 3 when they all possess their special skills.

For example, Oddsock with a shape similar to a dog, capable of running fast, climbing walls, or wall jumping, is very convenient for overcoming difficult obstacles.

Swoop birds are capable of flying, while Toggle can switch between two versions, large and small, making the difference of gravity for movement or puzzle.

Not only does it help players less bored with having to control Sackboy too much, but each new character also brings a new feeling to the gameplay.

Additionally, all characters (except Sackboy) have their voice acting alongside the narrative voice.

This can be considered the most interesting point in version LittleBigPlanet 3.

LittleBigPlanet 3 includes 4 main levels, one for the introduction (prologue) and the other three parts that will correspond to the places of the appearance of new characters.

Adding new characters, but not so that Sumo Digital forgets our main character and is also the representative of the whole game series.

Sackboy in LittleBigPlanet 3 is now equipped with new “toys”, to help him move more easily and get items out of reach.

In it, there are extremely effective items such as an air gun that can blow and suck certain objects, a flashlight that can detect hidden objects or a ball that can help move instantly.

Besides, items such as hats that help players move along the light line or shoes that help dance twice are also very interesting.

All of the above toys make Sackboy more free to move and help solve obstacles in a variety of ways.

The game screen now also becomes much more challenging.

It can be said that LittleBigPlanet 3 is the version with the highest difficulty ever in the game series, with many pitfalls placed consecutively on the way, forcing players to be careful and combine the right items to overcome.

Each level in Popit Puzzles introduces only a certain tool, and players will use it to solve puzzles by arranging or deleting objects, or placing difficult traps.

When the player has mastered a certain tool, the level will appear obstacles that can only be overcome with that tool.

Towards the end, the puzzles become more complex, stimulating the player’s imagination, and thereby making players feel interested in the design tools in the game.

For the first time in the series, players can experience the adventure of Sackboy with other players (co-op) and it is a very new feeling and very excited!

But the game itself exists many regrettable “grain”.
