amazon Audio Technica ATH CKR90iS reviews
Design
As a premium product, of course CKR90iS is made of metal. The metal that it uses is very heavy in hand, probably stainless steel. Overall, the housing is much more robust than the lower end products. Inside the housing there are two opposing diaphragms, one push and one pull for increased accuracy, distortion. The main speaker is 13mm and the subwoofer is made smaller, 10.4mm.
The CKR90iS has a removable cord, so the housing has a small connector. This type of pins are not MMCX, nor are they 2-pin, which is called A2DC quite strange, so will not be able to use the same wire with the products use the two types of pins on the connection.
As opposed to the housing design differences, the cord of the headset is quite similar to the lower products. The cord is also quite solid, including a handsfree microphone, but it would be great if the company made a better set of strings.
The port side is made of L-shaped, also made of metal so it feels very solid.
Sound
In general, the CKR90is is as thick as any other CKR line. The difference in detail has been improved quite a lot compared to low-level products. This is a hearing aids for those technically skilled. The CKR90iS sound is slightly darker, but the components are still quite different.
The sound of the CKR90iS is about jarring, playing a lot of different types of music but still hit a bit on the bass to create exciting. Quite strange is the sub bass of the headphone is made more than the mid bass. Try for Forget About It, the sub-bass is extremely thick, pretty much. This part is made stronger, heavier weight than the junior right under it is CKR70iS. The rumble of this part of the double bass in this song was made to the point, good but not to the point of fatigue. In contrast, the mid bass is neatly folded. Reduce a little bit, the way to hit is also lightweight. With faded, the drum sounds are not too short but are squeezed into one place so the feeling is not as much as the V-shape headphones completely. This part is not lacking, but is more controlled and does not spread much to the sides of the strong as compared to sub bass. Also the mid bass does not vibrate but rather focus, just hit down and less to the tail.
The mid-section is slightly backward, not towards the ears. This part is slightly deeper than the CKR70iS, but still made quite bright and high detail so it is still quite clear. The mid section is slightly thin, the speed is quite fast so the feeling is quite urgent. CKR90iS is really good with pop music because the mid section is electronically soft, strong but still quite easy to listen to. High but no sibalance. This is another strong point of the CKR90iS compared to the lower line. The CKR70iS climb has a bit of sibalance, but the CKR90iS is much better controlled. Also, this pair of earphones can play more music as well as easier coordination. The CKR90iS is quite natural enough to play the vocals, but the pop music is united.
Keeping track of acoustic music, easy listening, the treble of CKR90is is not much better than the headset sound. However, the treble of the CKR90iS can be called just enough, because the way of the section is not in jail. Treble bright, brittle enough, the bass does not occupy the whole space so treble also has space to express. This section is sweetened, not light to the highest notes, so it is good to add to the other strings.
