You can easily connect your PC to HD TV with the Cirago DisplayLink adapter.
Most new PCs can deliver high-definition video signals to HD TV via HDMI – which could not be done a few years ago. With the Cirago DisplayLink (USB to HDMI converter), the HD TV will be connected to older PCs via USB 2.0 instead of a graphics card. However, image quality is not always perfect due to the limited bandwidth of the USB 2.0 interface.
When testing DisplayLink on a computer running Windows 7, drivers and software are installed completely automatically. For other Windows or MAC OSes, device drivers and software are included on the accompanying CD.
The device driver will create a second virtual screen in the settings section of the Windows display. The “Fit to TV” feature in the included software extends the desktop to both monitors; The “Optimized for Video” feature improves image quality. In experimenting with TV shows on iTunes, images and sounds are sometimes interrupted, images viewed on TV is not as clear as when watching on the computer.
Included is a USB cable and HDMI to DVI adapter, the device also supports HDMI cable but the user has to buy more.
