amazon Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming reviews
GTX 960 G1 Gaming box is very large but simple and not very attractive. The included accessory includes two Molex power-transfer cables – 6 batteries and user’s manual.
The card is carefully wrapped in plastic, plus a thick shock absorber.
The whole industry today must recognize G1 Gaming as the top GTX 960 today. Holding the card in hand, I fully agree with that. The GTX 960 G1 Gaming owns awesome lengths and 3-fan heat dissipation. Appearance and design are no less than the GTX 980 cards – Nvidia’s top-of-the-line products.
The heat sink masks do not bunker in a colourfull pattern that uses multiple angles on a black background to create an accent.
Number of ports up to 6 with 2 DVI ports, 1 HDMI port and 3 DisplayPort ports. With these six ports, the Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming supports up to four monitors at the same time with a maximum resolution of 5120 x 3200.
The length is an emphasis that creates the appearance of the product. Add some overall shots of the capture card from different angles:
On the back, the GTX 960 G1 Gaming is equipped with a very long back-plate that serves as the circuit board and heat sink for the components on the back of the board.
For hiking case mica case users, the upper side of the card is important because this is a straightforward part of the mica window. On this point the GTX 960 G1 Gaming is also free.
Unlike most GTX 960 cards, the G1 Gaming requires up to two 6-pin auxiliary sources to support stable overclocking.
Talking of heat dissipation, Gigabyte’s WindForce fan is a well-known name for high winds with extremely low noise levels. So Gigabyte confidently put “SILENT” on his heatsink.
Removing the heat sink mask, the circuit board clearly demonstrates the quality with six power phases for the GPU – the most out of the GTX 960 available on the market. Other high-end versions of the company also have only four phase GPU only.
All the mosfets and memory chips are glued to the thermal-pad in close contact with the heat sink. The circuit board length is “cheat” by the back-plate.
We can see that each power phase has three low-impedance mosfets, not only lower operating temperatures but also more accurate power control than the two mosfets.
The heatsink is equipped with four long heatpipes, which certainly satisfy the 120W TDP of the GTX 960. All four heatpipes come in direct contact with the GPU and not via an intermediate die.
