HIGH DESIGN
Like the previous version, the T20 is boxed simple, sure
The back side is the technical information of the RHA T20
Box T20 is a window, when opened we can see the whole of what is inside
Open the box. Headphones and accessories are neatly wrapped in a shock-resistant finish.
In addition to the tips attached to the ear, RHA also generously give the user 5 pairs of normal tips, 2 pairs of black foam and 2 pairs of soundproof two tips.
RHA T20 Closeup. Without much change from its predecessor, the T20 still owns a very subtle, elegant and beautiful design.
Housing made entirely from metal with perfect machining quality
Heavy-duty rubber cords, which come with premium steel parts such as the 3.5mm jack, split the cable into two channels.
Of course, the T20 will be a bit heavier than other headphones, in return for almost absolute sound insulation as well as comfortable wearing for long periods of time. The only downside of the T20 is that the cable is not removable, or replaceable. However, with a three-year warranty, the same conductor is made of high-grade OFC, which makes the problem of cable disassembly somewhat less important to users.
AUDIOPHILE SOUND
Before we talk about sound quality, let’s take a look at the exclusive DualCoil ™ driver technology RHA is equipped on its flagship. Inside the T20 housing we have two voice coils on the same diaphragm, each of which operates independently to recreate a portion of the frequency range.
Specifically, the frequency response band is divided into low and high ranges. Frequencies below 2.2 kHz will be reproduced by the inner coil and the outer coil takes over the upper frequency range to enhance performance, producing extremely high-resolution sound. As a result, the RHA T20 can handle much wider frequency resolutions than conventional headphones.
To assess the tone of the T20 most objectively, I started with plugging it with the smartphone, laptop to the DAC / AMP combination. This time I used the source is the Apple iPhone 6 / HTC One M8 comes with 320kbps quality MP3s, then the AMP / DACs from the cheap to the expensive like the Dac Magic XS, the DarkVoice, the Fiio X5, and the familiar 3-band test strips.
Experience with the predecessor RHA T10, when sound quality is significantly improved after a light burn-in period of 50 hours, I also do the same thing with T20. The first impression with this in-ear is the spread of the song on all three strings: full bass, mid balance, treble, and wide sound. If you are an RHA fan, it is not too hard to see what the best of the MA750 as well as the T10 is well crafted on this “silver bullet”.
Start the bass and familiar intro in the Live Hotel California and the rhythm of All about that bass. If the strong, overwhelming band of T10 sometimes makes the listener tired, this will no longer appear on T20. No matter how much force, the bass stripe on the in-ear is refined to balance the volume and quality, expressed in bounce, accuracy and speed.
The drum voices in the intro Hotel California live not too deep down, not halved, nor flickering, but in a very timely, very pleasant. It is possible that the RHA T20 has a very “elegant” bass range, 10 points in quality and 7 points in volume, both compensating each other to give the listener a sense of comfort but not lacking, in line with A lot of genres.
To be fair, to the basshead or vibrant music such as Dance, EDM, … the bass on the T20 is not really outstanding to the ears. At this point, we can start thinking about using a bass boost sound filter (black) or using a warm, thick sound source to improve the situation. Thankfully, the RHA T20 is one of the best sounding headphones in the market and it’s pretty much affected by the source, so you do not have to worry if the first impression is not real.

The mid and amber bands, but not too close to the listener, feel overwhelmed or dazzling. The incredible detail is evident when T20 performs instrumental or classical, the piano, the guitar, the piano, the clear air, the airy space.
Is the strip high? There is no need to “treble filter” to T20 show strong treble, abundant energy and details. No shimmering, lingering to the point of dazzling, nor to be shaken between a bustling bass or mid-range band, the treble of the RHA T20 is still up to date, emphasizing on detail and extreme separation. For casual listeners, the treble of this in-ear is so good, easy to hear and comfortable, but for the hardcore or addictive treble, changing to “treble filter” really fulfills their ears.
At the sound of the field on an in-ear headset, with three striking strings of detail, the broad soundstage of the RHA T20 is predictable. Without being narrowed vertically or horizontally, the stage space is widely displayed, comfortable and extremely airy. The mid range brings us closer to the stage, but all from the singer position, the orchestral arrangement is reproduced in the most authentic way. It can be said, the sound field on the T20 is not inferior to a competitor in the same segment, including the DUNU DN2000J.
SUSPENDED
Like its predecessor, the RHA T20 captivates listeners from first sight with a delicate, luxurious design and a dozen accessories. The flagship, however, is the perfect sound, combining the best of the T10 and the MA750 – two of the earliest in RHA history.
It’s a balance between three strips: rich bass with smooth mid-detail, smooth detail, rich, treble sound with wide sound. Finally, the ability to change the perfect sound from the replacement of the sound filter to the source is a plus for the T20 when compared to other competitors in the market.
