amazon RHA TrueConnect reviews
Open the box
RHA is a well-known audio company in the UK, has experience in creating wired products, with wireless ear-rings. But by the end of the year, the company unveiled its first completely wireless earpiece, RHA True Connect.
The product has a lot of promising features, is printed right on the cover including IPX5 waterproof, high quality call, 3-year warranty and especially up to 25 hours usage time.
The shell still retains its dark blue and gray-white tone, but has been done smoothly and without cellophane.
Unboxing, we can see the pair of headphones right away with a pretty big charger box.
This charger box has 2 components, the shell around the border is made of metal is quite thick, while the top side is made of velvet-covered plastic. This type of plastic is smooth, but it is also easy to get dirty and scratches if used with care.
The charging port that the company uses is the new USB Type-C standard. Earlier wireless products have also moved to this new standard, very suitable for products designed for 2019. Stand-alone headsets are very good, up to 5 hours, and yes You can fill the battery 4 more times with this charger box.
The kit includes manual paper, micro USB charging cord (quite sure) and a piece of iron containing ear cushions. The ear cushions are very rich, no less than the Sony WF-1000X pair, with 6 pairs of rubber and 3 pairs of foam foam.
Outer shell design
This is the first time RHA has designed a pair of true wireless headphones, and perhaps as the company chose the prototype to study is the Apple AirPods. The headset has a curvaceous section, along with a long “wing” part. This part of the wing contains a microphone, and according to the company, this way will improve the quality of the conversation.
The cover is finished with a soft rubber-coated plastic similar to the charger case, as mentioned, it is very nice to put on the ear because it is soft and smooth, but also needs to be cleaned more. The outer ear has 2 buttons, used to transfer songs, receive calls and call virtual assistants. This button has a fairly gentle force, so when pressed down it is not uncomfortable for the ear.
The earbuds also have IPX5 water resistance, which is generally high at this time because other earphones are often stopped at IPX4. IPX5 means that headphones can be submerged for a short period of time, but most are still used to protect users’ sweat in the case of exercise.

Practical experience
One of RHA’s very (very) right choices when designing these pair of headphones is the latest Bluetooth 5.0 standard. Previous pair of true wireless headphones use the Bluetooth 4 standard, so they are often late, which is useless in watching movies and videos. This is not the case with True Connect, which minimizes latency to a very small level, equal to the pair of wireless earphones and Over-ear headphones.
True Connect is a new type of headset, so the company also took this opportunity to experiment with a new type of sound. The pair of previous headphones is aimed at a bright, even sound pattern between sound bands so that it can be heard. But with True Connect, it is equipped with a darker, more compact sound and is more bass-oriented.
The bass is pretty much, certainly more than the two pairs of MA650 Wireless and MA750 Wireless with the company that I tested the most recently. The drums in Take Five got down to the sub-bass, which was a bit bland but not bad. In contrast to most other pair of headphones, True Connect’s bass is slightly lighter when it reaches the mid-bass, so the overall sound is heavier, rather than Trance or Rave.
True Connect, the bass sound of True Connect, is also quite impressive. Emily Loizeau’s accent in Comment Dire is lightly pressed into the low-mid part due to the warmth received from the bass band standing right next to it, slightly backward creating a feeling of laid back, lightness and comfort. This mid-style will be the opposite of the mid-bright, clear and high-end mid-range models of the company’s old-fashioned products (MA650 – MA750), so perhaps users have to try it out first to see if it matches.
Standing next to both sound bands are rich, the treble is not the most prominent sound in the sound quality of True Connect. The treble is just enough to use, but it seems a bit lacking in space to really ‘shine’, so it is usually placed at the edge of the ear. This treble sound can be considered as a rounding task as a background for drums and singers’ voices to show their strengths.

Epilogue
RHA True Connect marks a new step for the UK audio company, stepping into the market of true wireless headphones. As the first product to pave the way, True Connect still shows the strength of a pair of headphones designed by a large sound company, when it has a long battery life, IPX5 water resistance, latency is almost zero and Strong sound quality, bold bass.
The only weakness of RHA True Connect is probably the price it offers. Currently the product is being sold at a price of about $190, which is not necessarily expensive for a true pair of wireless headphones, but is a leap forward from the existing pair of eardrops it currently has. But if this price is not a problem, then surely those who own this product will not feel regret.

Recommendations on charging issues: Wireless headset pairs use small capacity batteries, users should use them with 5V 1A charger (genuine iPhone or USB charger plugs from the laptop) to ensure the battery is charged safely most complete. Avoid using fast charging heads, tablet charging, charging 5V 2A, the battery of the headset does not tolerate the load will risk total failure!
