amazon Sony SRS X11 reviews
Design
This feature can easily be commented on by anyone, and usually they will use words: “nice” to describe the SRS X11. Of course this is not the opinion of everyone, but to say that the X11 “bad” is something wrong. Personally, the X11 speaker (and the X33, X55 …) are extremely attractive, square, sturdy, yet youthful and dynamic.
The X11 is a rectangular box with 6.1cm, slightly rounded corners, encased in hard rubber to increase impact strength, the film is coated with colored metal mesh, the top and Plastic back with flexible rubber keys, dust free, and comes with a detachable strap if desired, very convenient. The SRS X11 comes in 4 colors: black, white, red and blue for the user to choose.
The weight of the SRS X11 is only 215 grams, plus the dimension of the dimensions is approximately 6cm, making it a truly portable speaker. You can easily throw it into your bag, backpack or hang in the car without any hindrance. According to my personal experience, the X11 is just annoying to carry in pairs of cross straps and other things, such as a laptop, because its edges are the same and one can not rotate to fit. This is a minus point compared to the flat speakers like JBL Clip or Xiaomi Mi Square Box.
Sound quality
As mentioned many times, the most impressive sound of the SRS X11 is … the volume. It’s so big that anyone can not think of a 6 x 6 x 6 cm speaker that can deliver such great sound. At the loudest volume, I could hear music comfortably, even over the outside when I placed the speakers in a corner of a room of over 30 square meters. Just like the Sony ad, if you have a party at home with some friends, the SRS X11 is perfectly capable of taking on the role of a DJ, delivering loud sound in volume but still keeping the quality of the record music.
Of course, the audio quality of the X11 is only acceptable when compared to other mini portable speakers. The 4.5cm driver on the front of the speaker is not capable of producing clear, detailed sound in all frequencies, especially at high volume. In general, the X11 delivers a balanced sound, but still a bit in midrange, while the treble strips are less prominent, just enough to hear and the confusion can be easily recognized by increasing the volume. In return, no matter how loud we also not hear hissing, there is no visible faint, and bass is still handled due to two membrane passive bass located on the two sides.
The next plus point of SRS X11 lies in battery life. According to Sony, speakers can play 12 hours of music in a single charge, my experience is similar. With demand for music about 1-2 times a day at a volume of 30-70% through Bluetooth connectivity, I can use the X11 in a week to get to the charge. One thing that users should note, when the battery is about to run out, the volume of the speaker will automatically reduce to about half compared to the previous, although it will continue to play music for an hour or so to stop completely .

Other features
The SRS X11’s keypads and many other features, such as the power key, move the speaker to Bluetooth search mode when held, the call key can open the virtual assistant Google Now while playing music. However, there is a strange point of X11, in that it is not allowed to control music with these keys. More precisely, each time you want to transfer, you will have to use the phone, not double-tap / hold the volume… as many other types of speakers and headphones. This is probably what I do not like most on the SRS X11, as it greatly influences the overall experience of the product.
The built-in NFC on the top of the speaker means it’s easier to connect to the phone. If your phone has an integrated NFC, the connection simply touches the smartphone on the speaker, confirms the connection and waits a few more seconds to be able to enjoy the music. Even the X11’s NFC is always on, so you do not even need to press the power key.
Conclude
In general, the SRS X11 is still an impressive mobile speaker in many aspects, from design, functionality to sound quality.
