“Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time” is set in the magical and lively environment of Luna Nova Magical Academy. The academy is an elite place for young witches to learn. The story begins when Akko Kagari, the protagonist in this series, discovers a clandestine chamber seated in the far end of the library. This chamber flickering with magic is known as the Chamber of Horologium; it houses secrets and ancient artifacts concerning the nature of passing time. Akko unknowingly sets the time loop in motion, causing the same day to repeat over and over again.

The plot follows Akko and her friends, Lotte, Sucy, Diana, and others, as they try to solve the mysteries of the Chamber of Horologium to break the time loop. Players will talk to many characters from the anime, receive quests, and defend side stories that flourish the Luna Nova world along with the main conclusion.

What really makes the game shine is that it never strays far from the anime’s tone and feel. The story is light, humorous, and full of adventurous spirit that drew audiences to the anime. The enthusiasm, determination, and occasional clumsiness of Akko are portrayed perfectly, and her interactions with the rest of the cast are entertaining in the game just as they are in the show. The dungeons are different in theme and design, ranging from enchanted forests to ancient ruins, but most of them do not have any innovation in layout and challenge at all. Most dungeons feature the same types of traps and puzzles, and much will be seen snoozing in between after a couple of hours. However, it does have its fun moments, especially in testing out team compositions and strategies.
