Where to place the air purifier?

The lower the air purifier is placed, the better the air filtration ability. We can place the device on a table or chair, but it is best to place the device on the floor.

Do not place the machine close to the wall, the safe distance is 20-90 cm to avoid exhaust gas from the machine against the wall, causing dirt on the wall and floor.

Place the machine in a balanced, stable position and avoid rough surfaces that can easily tilt, leading to damage.

Avoid placing the device in direct sunlight. It is most effective to place the device in a closed space rather than in an open space.

Do not place the machine near water sources and high-temperature equipment and objects such as gas stoves, cigarette butts… because it may cause a fire.

Avoid placing the wall-mounted air purifier too high above the ground, the optimal distance is from 1.2 to 1.6m so that adults can easily use it and beyond the reach of children to avoid damage or falling off the wall.

Place an air purifier in the bedroom. Sleep is very important to us, so placing an air purifier in the bedroom helps the air to be fresher, breathe deeper, sleeping better, and the body’s process of eliminating toxins will also take place more advantageous.

Basic functions are often found in air purifiers

Air filtration

Most air purifiers today are equipped with Hepa filter technology, ensuring clean air quality of up to 97-99%.

Create humidity

When summer comes, sitting with air conditioning too much will cause your skin to become dry, and chapped, and air conditioning will cause the spread of infectious diseases. A “two-in-one” humidifying air purifier will be both an economical and safe choice.

Generate negative ions

Air purifiers can create negative ions or hydrogen molecules, which is a factor that helps the air have higher quality, making the air feel more airy and “easier to breathe” after a tiring day.

Catch mosquitoes

Some air purifiers are equipped with a very convenient mosquito-catching feature. Especially in the humid rainy season, there will be a lot of mosquitoes in your home.

Common ways to kill mosquitoes such as mosquito repellent essential oils, mosquito repellent lamps, mosquito scents, etc. are all effective, but they are chemicals so they are not good if you use them for a long time, especially when used on young children. Using an air purifier to catch mosquitoes only thanks to the airflow effect in the narrow slot on the machine’s body will be much safer.

How to connect an air purifier to a smartphone

The 4.0 technology era directs people to use devices more intelligently and conveniently. Below are instructions on how to connect the Xiaomi air purifier to your phone to be able to use more smart features.

You can refer to and apply the same to other types of air purifiers. Note that this guide does not mean that we recommend using a Xiaomi air purifier.

Step 1: Download the Mi Home application to your phone

Step 2: Register an account or log in to the Mi Home application

Be sure to select the region when registering, you should use email to register.

Step 3: Connect the Xiaomi 3H air purifier to the phone

Click the + icon in the top right corner.

Find an air purifier by searching 3H and then selecting Purifier 3H.

Press and hold the brightness key (on the back of the filter) and the Mode button in the middle of the phone screen.

Select your home Wifi name > Enter your Wifi password > The connection process will take a few minutes.

Return to the Mihome interface to proceed with the connection.

If the filter cannot connect, you may have transmitted the wrong password or the connection to the service is laggy, you can repeat the steps above.

Successfully connected, you can skip the 3 basic installation steps and can install them later (choose room, name, share device).

How to clean the air filter

If you want your air purifier to work well and last long, you cannot skip the following simple steps to clean the device:

Step 1: Disconnect the power source and remove all parts of the air purifier, including the air filters.

Step 2: Classify into 2 groups including those that can use water for cleaning (coarse filter, glass filter, or water filter) and those that cannot use water (remaining parts) but only use Soft towels, featherbrushes, and mini vacuum cleaners for cleaning.

Step 3: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the case, especially the air intake: the air entering and the fan blades leaving the air.

Step 4: Use clean water to clean parts such as pine filters, water filters, or glass filters.

Step 5: Use a small vacuum cleaner, or feather brush… to easily clean the carbon filter, HEPA filter, and activated carbon filter

Step 6: To clean the sensor, use a cotton swab to remove dirt and dust adhering to the sensor to help the machine always operate correctly…

Step 7: Place the parts in a dry place for about 15 to 20 minutes and then reassemble.

Step 8: Disassemble and assemble the filter parts in the correct order by referring to the machine’s instruction manual.

A few small notes for women when cleaning the air purifier:

Do not use detergents to clean the machine because they can cause corrosion and damage the machine.

You should clean the filter about once a month. For places with heavy environmental pollution like Saigon and Hanoi, the air purifier should be cleaned twice a month.

In particular, do not leave the machine in wet or high-humidity places, because in the long term, it will affect the machine’s components, causing damage…
