amazon SOMIC SC2000 reviews
Unboxing
The SC2000 is placed in a cardboard box, and from the front has advertised ANC active noise resistance.
On the back there are product advertisements in Chinese, English, Japanese, French and Korean.
In the box we have … another container.
This is a zipper lock box so users can bring their headphones everywhere.
The SC2000 has a full set of accessories, including a 3.5mm music cord, a port for plugging in a plane and a micro USB charging cord. Other firms I will complain about are still using micro USB, but SC2000 is located in the segment of cheap, mid-range, so using micro USB is understandable.
Design
As a company specializing in game products, most of Somic’s pair of headphones have a ‘monumental’ design, colorful, even LED lights. And with SC2000, the company went in a new direction when it had a very minimalistic design, only one color. The company has three black, red and turquoise versions, which are here in black, making the design more minimalist.
The outer case is made of soft plastic, but the frame of the headset is made of steel so it is very sturdy, holding on to the hands of the rickety feeling like the pair of headphones designed entirely in plastic.
Head cushions and ear cushions are made very soft, the user’s ears never touch the plastic parts. The first time I wore, I felt that the pressure of the headphones was slightly stronger than the other headphones, but because of that, the noise resistance was passive, and it was a good time.
All ports and buttons are shifted to the right ear, including micro USB charging port, 3.5mm cord, song transfer button, on / off switch and music player and lever to open or turn off ANC noise protection .
Overall, I am satisfied with the design and finishing of SC2000’s exterior. It is not for those who like a flashy headset, which is suitable for those who want a handy, simple pair of headphones but still not ugly.

Experience
There are two issues I need to experience before coming to sound, which is latency and active noise resistance.
First of all, this is a full-size pair of headphones, so even if you’re still using the latest Bluetooth 4.1 standard, the ear also has very low latency, or almost nothing, so you can watch movies and play games .
So what about active noise resistance? In my opinion, it is only average. When active noise protection is turned on, all ambient sounds are not interrupted, just like high-end product lines like Bose QC35 II or Sony 1000X, which only focus on low frequencies where engine noise appears such as car horns, talkers … gathered at medium and high frequencies can only be thinned. In summary with the noise of the engine, SC2000 is quite stable when you move in the traffic areas such as cars, airplanes, or you are sitting in the street house, combined with playing music, it is like Receiving external noise will no longer exist.
But if users want the most effective noise immunity even if you are walking on the street, you will have to spend money to buy headphones from big names like Sony and Bose, or wait for the Mee Audio Matrix pair. 4th generation, also promises to have very good noise quality.
But one thing that the company does not make users feel that lack of sound. Somic SC2000 possesses a fairly balanced sound quality, only V-shape is gentle but not overdone, the bass and mid are outstanding, but the vocalist’s voice is not pushed too far. The bass is pretty average, more so than the balanced pair of headphones but not to the level of the bass-head pair. Try now with Sia’s Chandelier, the bass in the back is quite even from top to bottom, full of sub-bass and mid-bass. The balance makes SC2000’s bass unbearable or boomy, the sound is always full of feeling. If you spend money on high-end headphones like Sony 1000xm3 or Bose QC35II, you have to add a bit of texture to the bass, but at this price range I think it’s enough to use.
As mentioned, QC2000 has a slight V-shape sound, so the two bass and treble are placed a little higher than the mid, but that doesn’t mean that the singer’s voice is ‘bad’. Billy Joel’s voice was slightly pushed back, leaning slightly darker than bright. His voice – a male vocalist performed by QC2000 is quite thick and warm, since not going straight to the listener’s head should create a feeling of laid-back, gentle. Ascending with high-mid, the headphones have a slight roll-off phenomenon, so the female soprano singers’ voices become less impressive than the male voices. This roll-off phenomenon is also quite slow, not truncated, so the female singers’ voices remain smooth, just not as prominent as the pair of bright headphones.
The sound treble strip makes me quite surprised in the good direction, the headphones create a rich amount of treble, as well as when the height is not lost, the brightness is very good. If adjusted, I will give the treble a little thicker to create a bank, but now it is good enough, especially with a pair of full-size headphones in the same price range as Somic SC2000. This treble sound combined with bass, as mentioned, creates a light V-shape sound, which serves well for exciting Dance, Trance, EDM songs.
Summary
At a price of only $110, Somic SC2000 ANC is only 1/3, even 1/4 of the pair of wireless headphones with active noise prevention, so I don’t have too much expectation on anti-algorithm noise of the company. In fact, this assumption is correct, when Somic’s noise quality is only acceptable, it is possible to block certain sounds but cannot be effective with Sony or Bose. But without mentioning the ANC feature, the SC2000 is still a pair of interesting headphones that incorporate solid finish, excellent battery quality, and no bad sound.
